  • Re: Election 2015

My managers have to carry people's respect.
I simply won't tolerate idiocy in someone representing an organisation in a senior capacity.
There's nothing funny about Labour spending all the country's money. I expected Balls to display some gravitas.
    He didn't.
I'd get shut of him, if he worked for me. I'd sit him down and explain to him that he needed to find another job elsewhere.
Vindictive, maybe. I'd certainly ensure he was no longer with me, by hook or by crook.
The public response would be to support him and say that he'd decided to spend more time with his family or explore other opportunities in life.
The last thing an organisation wants is to air its dirty washing in public.

The names of two parliamentary candidates are missing from postal ballot papers sent out to constituents in Hull East.

Labour's Karl Turner and Greens candidate Sarah Walpole are not listed on a new batch of postal ballot papers sent out today.
Mr Turner has told ITV Calendar that he is aware of the situation and has been informed by Hull City Council's returning officer that they are "dealing with it speedily".

More than 200,000 ballot papers have gone missing after a van containing them was stolen by thieves ahead of next week's election.72,300 of the blank election ballot papers were intended for the Hastings and Rye constituency in East Sussex, while the remaining 130,000 were headed to Eastbourne.

Officers investigating the theft, which took place overnight, said they found nothing to suggest the white Mercedes van was targeted for its contents.

Just watched Cameron on the news and the bloke really hasn't got a clue what people think. He is all animated about how the bankers didn't really lose anything it was just the working class and that Labour just gave the bankers Knighthoods for what they did. He might be right about labours part in this but what has he really done to punish them while he as had the chance. When Nick Leeson was on radio 2 a few months back it was brought up that he was one of a very few that have actually been to jail for what they get up to. If somebody says they have tightened up banking protocol and made regulation more ridged I would like to know how that really helps the people who are already in a mess, it may stop people getting in a mess in the future but it certainly doesn't help people get out of a mess now and it doesn't punish anyone for what they have done. If anybody mentions about the fines and charges levied against the banks I will say they will just list them as losses and find a way to fleece us so we end up paying their fines for them, so we get robbed by them and then take their punishment. This isn't an anti Tory rant or pro Labour they are as bad as each other it just shows they are spending more time saying what they think people want to hear as opposed to doing what people want them to do.

possibly a pattern of de-listing of voters done by certan councils as well, to influence local results.

                      question.

how many people are registered on the council tax registers, and have been for some time, yet are iether not registered, or have been de-registered in the past 18 months, to vote....

i suspect that number my be a lot higher than people might initialy consider.

I like numbers and paterns me, i have often wandered if i would get te time to gather the following datasets over a 10 year period

                      poulation per ward
voting patern both local and national for the ward
                      number of registered voters.

to see if there is ever a relation between decrease in registered voters and results.

in my little neck of the woods, the poorer areas have the lowest voter per population, and the richest have 100% VPP

That’s the story across the country.

I really think we have to forget about the party leaders and examine the local candidates. These are the ones you are actually employing, who know you and your area (or claim to) and you can actually go to their surgeries and give them ‘pucks of it’ if they do not perform. If I were to just go by the party leaders I would be stumped.
David Cameron – Part of the Cotswold Coven which included such notables as Rebekah Brooks who was already notorious even before the whole hacking scandal. He and his pals come from a long history of privilege and the ‘old school tie’ system.
Ed Miliband – Ok, the media might focus on his looks and speech patterns but I do not care if he does have teeth more suited to a Derby winner. What gets me is the whole Jacob and Esau situation with his brother and the fact that he does not seem to know much about economics or indeed compromise.
Natalie Bennett – EH, NO. I do not think I could see past that hysterical note in her voice. Good campaign ad but she just seems to have all the hall marks of a woman about to flip.
Leanne Wood – relevant as I live in Wales. Very calm and does occasionally speak sense but I just cannot see her having enough fire in her belly.
Nigel Farage – I do agree with a lot of his policies and I am sick and tired of people dealing the racist card out every time he opens his mouth. It is a fact that people are coming to this country to avail of free health care and on top of this there is an increase in many of the diseases such as TB that we had believed practically eradicated. UK nationals are going without treatment. They are also losing out on employment contracts and we are sending far too much abroad while UK nationals go hungry and live in appalling poverty. HOWEVER….I do not agree with all his opinions on Europe and, well, somewhere down the line I can just picture him clapping his soft bankers (I said bankers) hands sore at a Nuremberg Rally.
Nicola Sturgeon – Now this is a woman I would love as my local MP but….If she has to prop up the Westminster government she will have an input (and boy will she insist on having an input unlike poor bullied Nick) on affairs that may not even affect Scotland. The MPs elected in the UK will have no say in Scottish politics but they would have to work with her influence on their constituents.
Nick Clegg – Now if we actually listen he does talk a lot of sense and I do believe he was royally stitched up by Cameron et al but he really needs to grow a pair. Could never see Paddy ‘pants down’ putting up with the same s**t.

On the subject of " Local Candidates". Yesterday I received an A5 faux handwritten " letter " from a candidate for our " Town Council" election, the first paragraph introduces him by name and state that " I am standing for election purely as myself. with No party label just me".

This " letter was a accompanied by "sick" yellow and red double sided A4 flyer from the Liberal Democrats naming their candidates for both local & national elections, the final paragraph states in bold characters The Name of the LD Candidate and surprise. surprise the name of the " independent, just me, no party label" candidate, signed of as (both names) Liberal Democrats!!
                          .

Can one trust a party that allows this kind of bowlocks to be distributed I think not.

I have to admit that for the 28 years that I have lived in this country I have supported the conservatives but not this time – for 2 reasons; Our local candidate is a moron that I cannot work with and secondly I will NEVER, EVER support any party that will do shady deals with a Debt Collection Agency. David Willits sold the student loan portfolio to Erudio, part of Arrow Global. This is an absolute disgrace and speaks volumes. We will never get rid of these bottom feeders and this practice of allowing companies to make a profit out of people’s misfortune and using terror tactics to practically extort money out of the most vulnerable. Buying desperate people’s debts for pennies and chasing them for the full amount owed is bordering on usury. This may not be illegal but it is morally wrong.
I would also like to see the media reporting the news and not striving to ‘make’ the news.

Oh it is a case of the ‘devil and the deep blue sea’. I just think the shenanigans with Erudio, setting targets for employees to cut off people’s benefits and continuing to allow the blatant mismanagement of the NHS are just some of the actions that show Cameron’s mob are never going to understand what is actually causing real poverty and distress in this country.
I just hope and pray that people get out and vote and start badgering their local MPs. They have to start moaning at the people who should be changing the situation and not grumbling to themselves. Only then will the government start working for the most vulnerable. I know this is oversimplifying the point but right now they know the middle class keep them in power. What if they knew the people who were most likely to vote were let down by the NHS, lost their homes or were living in fear of bully boy bailiffs. Do you think they would still do nothing?
By the way, I used to laugh at some of Russell Brand’s antics but I think he is not just naive but bloody dangerous! One minute he is telling people not to vote then a chat with Shergar and he is supporting Labour. Fair play to Ed though he spent most of the time pointing out just how ignorant Brand is when it comes to politics.
You know something, I honestly think this may not be the only Election we have this year!
