THE WAY FORWARD ON THESE CLAIMS, IS TO STAY POSITIVE, FOCUSED AND PATIENT, AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS. WHY CHOOSE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE WHEN THERES NOTHING TO LEARN FROM THAT. THINK OF CLAIMING AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

Busy couple of weeks ahead. Youngest son back from uni this afternoon, Eldest daughter and o/h coming on Sunday for a week. Looks like it's going to be a case of musical beds. (either that or someone will be sleeping in the aviary with the budgies)

well it is another lovely day here, what a difference it makes

Had my first viewing on the house Friday and they have noted their interest with the Solicitor, so fingers crossed, they were really keen now will just have to wait and see what happens.

Moving into MY place on Sunday so busy week ahead.

Well I thought i would come on here on post some of the goings-ons in my world.

Today the post arrived with good news and bad news, the good being my holiday tickets (just over 3 weeks to go), the bad being that my mortgage rate goes up at the end of the month.

Got my car back from the bodyshop today, the result of this years incident.

Going to last years incident which is now about 14 months ago and is just about to be going to court. Unfortuantley i have 'Dumb & Dumber' solicitors representing me.
The first set of docs they sent, made me laugh, their POC was very professional, as we are claiming for the damages plus the stat int, but dumb and dumber only out the stat int down on the total amount of the claim, fogeting the other actual damages cost.

I also am in the process of gutting my kitchen to completly refit it, so at present we have the plumber coming in August to do the central heating, I have all the floor tiles stacked in my hall, a range cooker slap bang in the middle of my kitchen which i bought the day before they put the price by £250 (lucky or what).
The only downside is that i wont be doing the kitchen till the heating has been done, so living in a bombsite at the moment, and no doubt Kelly will still be buying bits as women do.

Then my car goes in for its MOT on Friday the 13th, fingers crossed, not the best date for it either.

              Well thats all folks

well Pkea you have been busy, and enough to keep you going for a while......never mind at least you have your holiday to look forward to.

well I had another viewing today, and they are also interested so it is looking good, but the downside is they both have to sell their own homes first.......so just have to wait and see.

this will be my last couple of days on here before I have to dismantle everything and move it and I am just not ready I haven't even got anything arranged for the new place so not sure when I will be connected again

Finally got my car on the road............I can't believe the size of the bit that was causing all the problems..............at least I am mobile again and can stop borrowing cars.

You think you lot have got problems?

We're having to go down to Hull on Wednesday for number 2 son's wedding, the reception and night do having made a massive dent in our savings. Me in-laws arrived yesterday, and won't be travelling down until Friday, so I hope our house is still in one piece when we get home.

Mind you, our mortgage rate goes up at the end of the month too. But not by as much as if I'd left it to default to the new standard variable rate. 7.5% for flip's sake!!! We've now settled on 6.1% for 5 years. Maybe I'll shop around before signing to see if I can do better. Although the very nice girl from the RBS did say she would pay off my mortgage in full for me. Just as soon as her crystal ball was back from its MOT. :tinysmile_kiss_t4:

Problems??? Don't give me your problems!!!!

                    LOLOLOL

Coffee at the Happy Plant will do wonders when things get too hectic though SL. Just take time to chill occasionally. :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Well I had to go searching for this thread, down on page 2.

It seems everyone is having babies at the moment, I became an Uncle on Wednesday.
my sister in law had a little boy, although it was over term, and a emergency C section was required, Little Evan came into the world at only 5lb 14oz. He spent an afternoon in SCBU, but everything is all ok now. He even has more hair then me, I couldnt believe it, but as he's scottish I suppose he'll need a head of hair to keep him warm.

On another note, I'm off on my jollies next weekend for 2 weeks in the spanish sun, just hope that Nelly hasnt drunk the breweries dry this weekend.

Well done for resurrecting this thread Paul. Well I got back from my holiday a week ago and it was FANTASTIC. If anyone wants to go to on a quality holiday its ideal, fly to Cancun then onto the motorway for 30 mins and turn off, you then go through the jungle for 10 mins and you wonder what the hell you are in for, then you arrive at the most beautiful hotel/resort you have ever seen.

Eldorado Royal Spa in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Can't recommend it highly enough, best of all its a Gourmet resort, every meal is a la carte, its all inclusive (all good brands of booze not the cheapo local stuff you usually get), 5* (the suites are incredible) and there's no kids allowed oh bliss.
And even better its a resort for Americans, Canadians and British so no Germans pmsl.

                            -----------------------------------------------

Himself had his operation on Monday (Carotid Endarterectomy) was a pretty stressful day waiting for news etc but eventually all was ok and got him home on Tuesday, although he's very tired and needs to rest up for a month or so I'm chasing about like a blue arsed fly and also have my mum staying as well and she's no more use than friggin ornament either (and she's still smoking in the house, jesus you wouldn't believe the arguments we have had over her and her smokes), so am looking after 2 invalids, running the house, running the business and basically disappearing up me own bum pmsl.

Hey ho such is life lol.

                            Ok rant over thanks
