    Sorry to butt in ......

Can I have the contact details for Watsons? I don't know if they would be able to help me with an issue I have with a sub-crime lender. I live in Scotland too so don't know if that would be a barrier for the geographical area they cover.

      Hi Ruby

We don't cover Scottish law I'm afraid. We certainly don't cover Scottish proceedings but it all depends on the nature of the problem.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Kate and I spoke about a counter claim for the harrasment, stress and distress Lowells have put me through and if Lowells issue court proceedings against me we could issue counterclaim against Lowells harressment, stress and emotional distress. However this would be very difficult to prove, although the harrassment side of the claim could be easily evidenced. Its something to think about but in reality its not a very likely possible course of action. Instead I will make complaints to anybody/everybody i can about Lowell's behaviour, but I'm going to do this when everything is finally resolved - the complaint letter I eventually send out will be a the size mini novel at this rate!!!
Not sure whether you are familiar with this case, Cel obviously is! :thumb:

          His Honor Judge Chambers QC found {at Para 53}

In my view, the Claimant rightly complains that, mainly by MBNA but also by the Defendant, he was hounded by telephone calls seeking payment of what was said to be due. The calls were a form of torture oppressively frequent in amount and often without attribution to an identifiable number. I am unimpressed by suggestions that all that the Claimant had to do was to seek a meeting when the position was that those who called him would not listen to what he had to say of his difficulties.

            Thanks Cel ..... I'm a lost cause :tinysmile_cry_t:

Please see my threads with regard to unregulated secured loans and FOS Final Decision.

Its true what they say that sub-crime lenders rely on the fact that customers can't afford to take them to court so they get away with financial criminal activity every day of the week. What a great society we live in.......

Sorry for sabotage of thread - Can't stand Lowell either, they have put three defaults on my credit file. Should challenge them but can only handle one battle at a time.

Thanks to a lovely update from Kate today i am pleased to announce that Lowells have agreed to pay Watsons costs.

Apparently PT had a fun day dealing with Lowells costs negiotator and I believe the phrase "she was as thick as custard (or something similiar to that phrase) was used!!!" PT had great fun running rings around her as she was still banging on about me agreeing to a repayment plan. PT was extremely firm and said, never going to happen so go ahead - take her to court - we'd love to take some more costs off you because the agreement is completely unenforceable. and the default notice doesn't do you any favours either!!!

I think Watsons settled far too low (to me, Watsons are worth their weight in gold and should be paid that amount too!!) but Watsons are happy with the final figure so the matter is now officially closed - yay!!!

Given the above Watsons are also going to send a reminder to Lowells incase they decide to try any further court action on this matter. They will be informed that I remain a client of Watsons and Lowells cannot approach me directly and must send all correspondance through Watsons.

I think we should start a sweepstake on when Lowells are stupid enough to "forget" this condition and contact me directly asking to start a repayment plan or take me to court.

My personal bet is that things will start up again a year before it goes statue barred, so i'm going for around March 2014

                  Hello Fuzzy

Your post made me chuckle, i did have fun indeed, it was nice to assist Kate for sure.

Sadly some times you have to take a pragmatic view of things and look at the risks vs rewards, sometimes its better to settle now than wait another 12 months and only earn an extra £100.

The main thing is that the matter is settled, you dont have the stress of having to deal with these people, and of course you can have a good laugh at their expense too.

Glad i made you giggle PT - thank you so much for everything you have done to help me and for assisting Kate when she needed it. You have both been absolute angels and I knoow you are both on a mission on to bring firms like Lowells to task and there is a huge debt of gratitude to you both for what you are doing to help those Lowells are trying to screw over.

I wouldn't wish a Stat demand on anybody normally BUT it would be such fun to see them try it on with you!!! It would be the quickest cure for consitpation Lowells will ever have when they get your bill

Getting a SD is a heart-stopping experience :fear:

I got one a couple of years ago and PT sorted it for me and I'll always be in his debt for that - largely because he hasn't sent me his firm's bill yet msl:

Well done Kate and Watsons :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
