Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

Hey dont get me wrong or anything but kick the crap out of them! I had bailiffs turning up at my car showroom trying to clamp 4 vehicles, they insisted I was liable for the PCN's. I picked up a cricket bat and gave both of the fools a good beating ha ha. Now I'm in one of their databases, this database lists people like myself who dont pay bailiffs or give into their silly threats. No one pops down to my showroom to collect any so-called unjustified debt, they are all afraid as they know i'll give them a good beating!

I love it, just need to get me a baseball bat now. Ive been to the CAB today, and they basically told me to do what Amy said previously, so they wont be getting a penny more from me thats for sure. I still havent seen a bailiff as of yet neither. Ive moved my car so they cant clamp that either. I will win eventually but I think it could be a long fight!!

I have money today, do you suggest I pay something towards my parking fine to the council too? I have just made an online payment directly to the council for my council tax. They have already told me they will not take the pcn back from Equita. Thanks again.

Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

I have just received this letter from equita this morning.

              WARRANT OF EXECUTION

I have been advised by our bailiff office in Northampton that you have failed to clear the balance outstanding in respect of a warrant issued by the Court regarding an unpaid penalty charge notice owing to Liverpool City Council. We have been authorised by the BAILIFFS) REGULATIONS 1993 (AMENDED 2004), to attend at your premises and remove goods sufficient to cover your debt.

Our removal vehicle will look to attend at your premises within the next 48 hours to seize your property and transport it to the auction room for public sale to satisfy the warrant.

Help!! R we definately sure they cannot break in???? I'm back to bricking it again now.

This letter is also dated 20.1.2011.

                We are definitely sure.

As a single mother you are classed as 'vulnerable' and you need to write to your council to get this harassment from the bailiffs to stop.

Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

                    Hi All
Sorry but I dont know how to start a new thread but my questions are related to the above so I hope you dont mind me joining in on this thread.

Could someone please confirm that for a non paid parking fine the bailiff cannot force an entry into my home. He's never been into my home and I've never even met him.

At the time when I got the ticket I was unale to pay and kinda just hoped it would go away. Now 18 months later I am recieving bailiff letters demanding over £400.
I am willing to pay the original fine as I am guilty, I just dont want to pay the parasitic bailiff.
I still cant pay the entire amount in one payment as I'm now unemployed so I'd like to know if I can make payment direct to the council by instalments, say £5 per 2weeks?

Also I read somwhere that a PCN is not valid unless it has the exact wording of "Date of issue". mine says "Date of service" Is this a valid PCN?

Jhonny007. I think you could end up in court if you bash people about with a bat, even a rubber one though I do understand why you'd want to.

Bailiff says he's coming to take my stuff on Thursday 04 feb :tinysmile_cry_t:

Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

Who gave you the original fine? If it's a council issued fine and your council have decriminalised parking, then the answer is no, he cannot break into your home.

Assuming the above and because the bailiff has not been granted previous peaceful entry to your home, he may visit you if he wishes, but there won't be anything he can do.

How does he think he is going to be able to take your belongings without a levy? What 'things' does he say he's going to take? You should move any vehicles that are obviously yours away from your home for the time being.

Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

Hi Amy Thanks for your swift reply.
I dont have any of the original documentation other than the penalty notice, and now the letters from the bailiff.

The PCN has Hastings Borough Council written at the top so I assume its a council issued fine, is this correct?

How can I find out if my council have decriminalised parking?

Do you know anything about the wording that I mentioned above ie:
"Date of issue". mine says "Date of service"

This is a fantastic site, i've already added my experience of bailiffs concerning council tax in the hope it helps someone. Basicaly I refused to pay the bailiff and so the council took the money weekly from my bennefits. This was much better than paying the bailiff as I only had to pay what I owed to the council at a rate that I could afford. The baillif got nothing.

Re: Equita Bailiffs, HELP ME PLEASE!!

I have just tried to make a payment online to Liverpool City Council for my parking fine, and the website will not allow me to as it says they are not taking payments on this account. I have emailed them again and still do not have a reply. I have not seen or heard from Equita yet either! What should I do?

Oh my god someone has to help me, there has been a bailiff sat in his van outside of my house for the past 45 minutes. He hasnt knocked but he did post a letter which says the following

                                Hi,

Just try to calm down (not easy I know) Looking through this thread Amy has said on a few occasions the Bailiff has no right to break into your home, so try not to worry. Just don't open the door to him and make sure all your doors and windows are locked.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to advise you x
