    Thanks for your response TUTTSI.

Lifestyle claims rang on the 18th November 2010. I spoke to a sales person who asked about my mortgage and credit cards accounts. She said that they would look into these accounts and see if I was entitled to any money back. She asked if I had taken out mortgage protection insurance incase I lost my job. I told her that I hadn't. She said that sometimes companies can still take the insurance out, even if I hadn't agreed to it. They can hide the charges in the repayments. She thought that my monthly mortgage payments would indicate this and I could have been paying this insurance. And she thought there was a good chance that I would be entitled to a substantial claim. She said that I would have to pay £352.50 up front which I would get back if I wasn't entitled to any money. I should know in about 12 weeks after I returned the forms if I am entitled to anything. She said something similar regarding my credit cards.
I rang to ask for a refund a couple of weeks ago, but I was told that it was past the 14 day cooling off period so they could not do anything. They suggested that I would be better off persuing the claim as I would either get the claim amount or my money back if I wasn't entitled..

yep, I got a call from a CMC who siad their cut would be 39% of the claim. The call centre girl mumbled through the "39%" bit

Well done with getting your PPI refunded. Do you know the name of the Company that did this for you and how comes they took most in fees?

What is the name of the company that want to recover your club class holiday?

Did you have a problem with your holiday?

Have you made a complaint to the holiday company?

If you had a problem with your holiday, how did they know you had a problem?

I would be dubious about anyone who cold calls you and I certainly would not give any personal details or credit card details over the phone to anyone that cold calls unless you know who they are and that you are satisfied that they are a trustworthy company.

Firstly, can you advise us what did Life Style Claims say they could do for you that made you part with £352.50 and exactly what date did this happen?

For a start, Life Style Claims, cold called you and took money upfront this is against the rules for their authorisation with the Ministry of Justice.

You have paid by credit card so you could apply for cashback, but can only do so if you have good reasons.

Respond to my question on what they said they could do for you and I will help you further.

As a matter of interest what did they say they could claim for you?

I am pleased you were able to read our threads and make your own decision as to whether or not to pay for their service.

We here on LB are still not convinced that anyone has ever received a refund, despite their promises and taking huge sums of money from the public.

You only have to read the earlier thread on how they have taken money from a grandfather who did not understand and who did not have a PPI to reclaim and after requesting his money back he has still not received this, and this is shameful of a company to do this.

    Thanks anyway
    You still have remedies:-

You must write a letter giving them 7 working days to repay the money, after that you take out a small claims against them for the money + interest. + advise that you are complaining to the MOJ as they have broken the law by not returning the money as requested by your grandfather.

You must contact the Ministry of Justice and advise them of the situation and ask for their help.

Please do not let them get away with this they are breaking the law and they should have repaid that money by now.

    Hi Well Boy

Did your grandfather pay by credit card if he did contact the credit card immediately and advise them the situation.

Also, what date did he pay Life Style claims?

In addition your grandfather should write immediately to Life Styles Claims by special delivery and advise them that he has not received the pack and that he does NOT want to proceed and that he wants his money back or he will be issuing a claim against them.

You should also contact the Ministry of Justice and explain that they have
mis sold him a service for something which he does not have and which he did not want, he now wants to cancel which is his right and that he cannot as he never received the pack and they wont refund unless he returns the pack.

Re: Cento Client Review ( CCR Claims ) Client connection Ltd

Hi This is the 1st post i have made so sorry if i get anything wrong.

My question relates to Lifestyle claims, Claims Management or whatever they are called.

My elderly grandfather got talked into (or rather bullied into) paying £352.00 in October for being misold on his morgage (even though he has had no morgage for many years.

After speaking to my father that day we advised him that he should decline their service and get his money back. When he did this he encountered lots of problems but was finally told that he needed to wait for his pack to arrive then return it back in the cooling off period and they would refund his money. This he did but still no refund. We have spoken to them for him now on 3 different occasions and each time they say they will refund the money but nothing ever happens.

Can anybody offer any help or advice as to what we can try next. I know i can seek legal advice but again that would involve more costs.

To make matters worse we have been calling them non stop and you get put in a queue for 30 minutes then they disconnect you. All this on a premium line 0844 6699333. I could not even find an email address for them either

We are at a loss as to what else we can do

    Thanks
