I'll be in a better position to answer these questions tonight when I arrive back home.
On the subject of V.A.T, I did ask a Phil Owen on the telephone about a VAT No, he did say he could get me one!!
I'll be back on tonight once I've been through all the paper work. Cheers.
I've attached the pre-contractual agreement. It says "Our solicitors will endevour to recover legal expenses" or words to that effect.
Should I ask for a court reference number? I don't think this claim made it to court as Lloyds TSB did admit to misselling.

Much has been published regarding the miss-selling of financial products by the major lenders in the U.K over the last 15 years, but many people don’t realise or don’t want to believe that they have been miss-sold to, but the reality is that millions of people across the U.K have been affected by this.
We specialise in 2 areas of this financial sector, the first being Payment protection insurance (P.P.I) this is a policy added onto a loan agreement to protect you against unemployment/sickness and in an ideal world would pay your loans for a period when you are unable to do so, but the sad reality is that without the policy being sold correctly it is not worth the paper it is written on. We have a 85% success rate on cases that include P.P.I.
The second area we specialise in is Unenforceable loans (This is when a loan breaches the consumer credit act set up to protect you against miss-selling) in these cases when an agreement is deemed as unenforceable any outstanding balances can be potentially written off leaving you debt free.
