Has anyone received a phone call from them ?
If you have then please http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/register.php for free and tell us your experiences of them.
They are cold calling consumers offering to get back charges, PPI and also write off loans etc. They charge between £49.99 and £149.99 for their services for which you can do any of this yourself for free with the assistance of this site.
EDIT -
What would be very helpful would be if people who have posted with concerns over misleading claims made to them in these calls could PM me or send admin@legalbeagles.info an email stating the concern, the time and date of the call, and the telephone number that the call was made to. This will then be passed to cento so they can monitor and take action to improve the quality of their calls.
THE STORY SO FAR.......
edit - there are some reports of sucesses with claims using cento and other claims companies.
2.The solicitors they have stated to many people that they use are Forbes Douglas, I have evidence from the MD of Forbes Douglas that they are not solicitors and neither do they have any solicitors employed by them, they are in fact another claims managment company. So again if they make these references you must check out what they are saying is correct.
3. If your claim progresses to the next stage they may ask for more money and they may also get you to sign away an additional 30% of any money they recover for you.
4. If you decide to use them, you should check their T & C's before entering into any agreement IMHO and definately before you pay any money over.
5. Get everything in writing before entering into any agreement, unless you are recording your phonecalls.
6. Do your research thoroughly before using them or any other claims management company, before parting with your money. There are loads of resources on the internet.
7. Anything they can do for you you can do for free, with the help of consumer web sites like here on Legal Beagles.
8.Cento Client Review told me that I had £3K to come back from a particular previous mortgage company, this was not true as I have checked it out, I did not take PPI and neither did I have £3K of Mortgage charges. The mortgage payments were much more than £3K so where to they get there figures from.
9. Also, it is worth remembering at the time of their phonecall to you they are not privy to your Bank,Mortgage,Creditcards and Loans so how can they pluck figues out of thin air and advise you what you have to come back.
10. They have been known to tell people to stop paying their loans and pay the money to their solicitors, on no account must anyone do this as it is not advisable. Seek solicitors advice from someone you trust as you could end up in default and your financial record could be damaged.
11. When they phone you, did should ask where they got your personal data from? they are not allowed to cold call. They told me they got my information from the FSA - that is not true, when questioned further they told me a central regisitry for PPI, again I have no PPI so this cannot be true.
12. Never give you personal data to anybody that calls you on the telephone this includes you credit/debit card numbers, without first checking them out.
Finally, if you feel they have misled you or that they cold called you, this will make them in breach of their conditions for holding a Ministry of Justice Licence, then a complaint to the MOJ is very important. 100 companies with licences have had them suspended ot cancelled.

What was the date of that letter from Shama's and also what date did CCR say that they were going to refund you + also remind me how much you paid upfront?
Did you make a claim under section 75 of the consumer credit act on your credit card on the basis that MSE or LSC did not provide you with a service and that you have evidence from the administrator Sharma's that there was no claims and therefore you did NOT receive a service for the upfront fees which were provided. You have only just found out this information and therefore you have only just become aware that you are due a refund.
Let us know how you get on please and thank you so much for posting up.

Hi, The letter is dated 10 January and I just received it today, I haven't made any claim yet, I only paid £79.99 up front which is less than the £100 they advise I can claim on my credit card for. I will make my own claims re PPI etc against the banks etc in question.
Linda.

Thanks, I'll copy and post it to you, I paid less than £100 so according to the letter I can't claim it back.
Ah well, to be fair I always thought £79.99 was a reasonable amount to write off if it came to nothing.
Thanks for the reply.

" Client Connection Ltd t/a Lifestyle Claims and Money Claiming experts In administration (the company)
I can advise that Iw as appointed Administrator of the above company on 9 October 2012. Attached is a formal notice of my appointment. On 9 October 2012 a sale of the Company's ongoing work in progress, including your claim in respect of the possible mis selling of Payment Protection Insurance / other financial products to Redhawk Legal Ltd took place. Redhawk Legal Ltd also acquired the Company's trading styles, Lifestyle Clams and Money Claiming Experts.
I have now been advised that your claim (s) have not been successful and therefore in accordance with your agreement with Client Connection Ltd you are entitled to receive back the "upfront" fee you paid.
As Client Connection Ltd is in Administration and no longer trading you are a creditor of the Company and a claim for a refund of the aforementioned fee constitutes a claim in the Administration. I enclose a statement of claim form to be completed and returned to this address. Upon receipt your details will be added to the list of the Company's creditors and copy of the latest report to creditor's will be issued.
For your information I would advise that if you made the payment by credit card and the sum was over £100 you may be able to benefit from the protection afforded by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Accordingly, once you have received a copy of my latest report you should report this matter to your bank / credit card company and seek a refund under the above legislation. If successful then your card provider / bank will be a creditor in your place. If you utilised a debit card or similar you may also have a similar protection and you should speak to your bank"
Not much chance of a refund there me thinks.
Thanks throughout for the support from this forum and site, off to make my claims on my own!!!

I'll send you my address by private message in a tick.
Briefly, as I haven't much time, there is an issue regarding another of our members who has a letter from Sharma's that contradicts yours and the MOJ - the regulator - is investigating and your letter would be very useful evidence.
Probably not worth you replying but it would be worth making a claim to your credit card company (as the letter suggests) under section 75 and the letter itself would help you in that process.

NOTICE
Lifestyle Claims have gone into administration.
They are Client Connection Ltd and have traded as Cento Client Review/Money Saving Exxxxx and of course last known as Lifestyle Claims
The administrators are:
Sharma & Co.,
Mr Gagen Dulari Sharma,
257 Hagley Road,
Birmingham,
B16 9NA
Please also be very aware that there is another company trading from the same address called Lifestyle Money and they trade from a different Ltd Company and have their own authorisation from the MOJ. They also have some of the same directors that used to be on Client Connection Ltd.
Please be aware that Lifestyle Money cannot deal with Lifestyle Money matters and if they do you should be reporting this immediately to the MOJ as this is against the MOJ authorisation rules.
Also, Redhawk Legal have also been purporting to deal with Lifestyle Claims current claims and answering the phone as if they are Lifestyle Claims. The MOJ have said they cannot do this and I am sure the MOJ will close this down very quickly. We have also been advised that Ultimate Law have also taken on Lifestyle Claims and I am waiting for the MOJ to confirm the current position.
If anyone has received any notifications from the Administrator regarding the administration or that the business hqas been transferred can you advise me immediately and if possible post up the letters you have received.

You need to report this scenario to the Ministry of Justice as soon as possible as they should know how Cento are operating and name changing.
What is the company name who are chasing you for this debt? and are they part of Client Connection Ltd and are they authorised with the Ministry of Justice? Also, if they are debt collecting they may need an OFT licence to be able to do this. Again you will need to check this through before you pay anything to anyone.
You could also report this to Trading Standards as to what they are doing and if for them to advise if this is correct.
I agree with you with regards to the repayment of charges. It is however unlikely that Barclaycard would off their own back just refund without having received a letter from someone requesting a refund.
If push comes to shove after you have made all your enquiries, I can only suggest that you pay the 30% as agreed but pay it to Client Connection Ltd (This is the Ltd company that you took the original contract with under the guise of Cento Client Review) - less the original deposit that you paid (again I am asuming that you paid an upfront deposit?). Ask them for a proper invoice if they have not sent it already. (I am asuming that you agreed to 30% back in 2009 as it was 25% in the early days)
Just as a point some of our members who have written just a simple letter to Barclaycard have received refunds of charges within 9 days of sending the letter so why yours has taken so long to deal with god only knows.
Hope this information helps...

Sorry to barge in but this has happened to me.
I signed up to this in Sept 2009 and had a letter in April 2010 saying they regret they could not assist me and would issue a refund of my initial fee.
I have then had a letter sent to my old address (lucky that it was forwarded to me) from Lifestyle Claims saying they have settled my account and I now owe them 30% of it.
I have of course checked and the claim was with Barclaycard there has been a payment to my card settling the amount my issues are as follows;
I singed up to Centro Client Review - Client Connection Limited.
They said they could not help and would issue a refund (I have since been told that I had to claim that refund and it was never paid back!)
Then over a year later I get a letter from another company with no communication from any of the companies involved throughout the 18 months.
Whilst I am happy to pay any fees that are owed, I am not willing to pay fees to a company I have not heard of and also when they said they could not help, I cannot help thinking that Barclaycard have done this without their involvement and they are now chancing it to get paid.
They have threatened legal action if I do not pay them and they don't even have the correct address, they have asked to take it but I am refusing to give it to them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have checked the terms and conditions unfortunately I cannot tell if these were the ones I actually signed as it is just printed pages and then the Letter of Authority makes reference to me retaining a copy of the terms and conditions and being bound by them?
In the details about the service it states that the claim can take up to 12 months and in the number 1 it makes no reference to an end date and suggests that this contract would run indefinately (is that legal?)
Thank you for any replies in advance.

Hi Mr D
I have been away and have just picked this up.
Something here is very odd I have not heard from Synergy Financial Solutions.
The trouble is that Cento Client Review and Lifestyle Claims are run by the same Ltd company. It is the Ltd compnay which I belive holds the licence.
You may have to phone the Ministry of Justice to verify what the connection is with Synergy and whether they should be sending you a proper VAT invoice before you pay it.
Can you pop up the VAT number so that we can try and check if this is a bonafide number. A proforma invoice means that you have to pay before they can issue a proper VAT invoice and hopefully they would do this as a matter of course. They probably pay VAT on completion of payment.
Originally posted by Mr D View PostHello again Tuttsi,
I have just read the first Pro-Forma Invoice from Lifestyle Claims.
It does have an invoice number and VAT number but at the bottom of the letter it states: THIS IS NOT A VAT INVOICE.
VAT : £337.33
VAT No: 989 800 461
On all my previous correspondence with Cento Client Review there has been no mention of Lifestyle Claims, do CCR still have their license? Also, the claim form I didn't submit came with a stamped addressed envelope to:
Synergy Financial Solutions
Heritage Exchange
South Lane Mills
Elland
HX5 0HG
This company just seems to be made up of smoke and mirrors, definately trying to deflect and hide from something/somebody.
We received a FINAL NOTICE yesterday and have 14 days to get in touch or Lifestyle Claims will be issuing County Court proceedings. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have any problem paying CCR, but when a bill comes through from a company you have never heard of or signed up to, it makes you wonder if CCR would ask for their share once Lifestyle had been paid.
We may have to get legal help as we find this whole thing to be shady.

I'll be in a better position to answer these questions tonight when I arrive back home.
On the subject of V.A.T, I did ask a Phil Owen on the telephone about a VAT No, he did say he could get me one!!
I'll be back on tonight once I've been through all the paper work. Cheers.

I've attached the pre-contractual agreement. It says "Our solicitors will endevour to recover legal expenses" or words to that effect.
Should I ask for a court reference number? I don't think this claim made it to court as Lloyds TSB did admit to misselling.
