Gravity Financial Solutions is a Debt Management Company and on their web site they have an area where you can view the progress of your claims, providing you have a claims reference with them in order to enter that part of the site. It appears that they are registered with the OFT.
Did Cento ever ask for your permission to send your paperwork to Gravity Financial Solutions?
Did Gravity ever write to you with any updates, reference numbers etc?
What arrangement do you have with Gravity Financial Solutions?
The update they have given you does not really help you and you really do not know where you stand tbvh. I could say the sun is going to shine tomorrow and it does not.
For what it is worth you have been incredibly patient with them.
A letter terminating their services giving them 7 days to return all your money - send it by recorded/special delivery so you can track it.

"The update you requested from *** is as follows:
- Northern Rock Mortgage (£***) has been sent to Gravity Financial Solutions to investigate as of 8/12/09
- Natwest Secured Loan (£***) has been sent to Gravity Financial Solutions to investigate as of 29/1/10
- Abbey Loan (£***) has been sent to Legal Redress to investigate as of 24/9/09

Interestingly some of the figures mentioned don't equate with information I have about my accounts. On reflection I think I will send another letter Monday and ask for that refund again.

Just fills you with confidence doesn't it. I so wish I'd thought up this idea to earn money for doing absolutely nothing.Originally posted by RedRose View PostThe chap stated he was not prepared to give any details re timescales "as he would probably be wrong".

Re: Cento Client Review
Hi
Well today I got hold of the man I needed to speak to. He states
1. Natwest CC stopped as no claim to make (now I know there are fees on there so makes no sense)
2. Northern rock - mortgage - gone to Gravity 8.12.09
3. Natwest loan - gone to Gravity - Natwest say cento haven't been in touch at all - which I challenged and he advised Natwest were lying to me
4. Abbeyloan - on hold with Legal redress awaiting test case - Legal redress did send a letter to me about this some time ago.
He states the timescales are increasing as more people make claims but the success rate is higher than anticipated at 98% with PPI claims.
I asked him for a written update which he said he would email immediately. That was 3.30 - nothing yet so I propose to give them til Monday then write again requesting a refund. The chap stated he was not prepared to give any details re timescales "as he would probably be wrong".
Linda.

Re: Cento Client Review
Hi
I have tried without success to contact the gentleman who called me, I rang and left a message with a colleague who assured me he would call back and then rang at 5.30 and left a message as there was no reply. I know they close at 6 so I will try again tomorrow.
With thanks x

HiOriginally posted by Amethyst View PostThey are expecting it and have said they will look into your case. So indeed fingers crossed.
Well they called me today to acknowledge they had received my letter today and to say they can give me a full update on what has happened to my claims and why they will carry on with my claims. No suggestion that I have any chance re a refund and asking me to call back.
So - Im proposing to call and ask for a written update to be sent within 7 days - however I know they have done nothing so shall I just call and insist on the refund? Or do I write to them again?
Any advice gratefully received.
With thanks again
Linda.

Did this happen kite?Originally posted by kitesurfer View PostUpdate on this situ.
A lady called me today from Cento and told me that I'll be getting a full refund as I was well within my cooling off period and will call me tomorrow to get it authorised and retuned back to my credit card (I had to give them the card details again) She said she cant do it as the other department has the PDQ machine plus it also needs authorising. She also asked me to give her an explination as to why I wanted to cancel and asked did the bank contact me?....I just told her that it was my right to cancel.
She also said that I wont be able to get the money back from the cheques that I sent to the lenders for info but I wasn't worried about that as I cancelled them before they had even been processed as the guy in the bank told me that they had not been cleared yet.
If they stick to their word, then this would be a positive for Cento.....I'd like to leave it on a positive note, as this as had me in a right state.
Huge thanks to Ame for calling them.

Guest repliedIn response to Exc: I guess that they do not keep records of credit card details once they have taken the money initially, so this could be plausable.
Well done KS and Ame for emailing Cento. I am sure Cento will now keep their word and look forward to hearing when the money has been returned to your credit card. Did you take the girls name that called? You will have to keep checking your balance with your credit card company but I can imagine it will take a week to show up.
If anyone is reading these threads, feel that you are disatisfied with the Claims Management Company that have cold called you and sold you their services and you do not want to proceed it is always advisable to write directly to that company in the first instance by either Recorded/Special delivery and also by email and if you do not get a response within 7 days then you do have every right to take matters further and report it directly to the Ministry of Justice as you will have the proof that you did not want to proceed and that is your rights under consumer laws
