Re: shas v A&L and the world

      Hi Guys!
      I've had some responses...

Alliance & Leicester- i&e form to send back-which I can fill in & send off.

CABOT - have sent their £1 postal order back & have said they don't have the information on file but have requested it from the original lender...

AMEX-have said that if Id of complied with the t&c's of my agreement with them..I could of avoided charges & that they think what they've charged is fair...

EGG... have acknowledged receipt of my complaint & say a customer relations advisor is looking into it

HFC (MARBLES?) NOW CALLED BENEFICIAL....want me to send a photocopy of my passport..

DRYDENS....Very strange... They can't process my request for a copy of the loan agreement, have sent me my £1 p.o back & say that nationwide have instructed them to close the file & I now have to pay & send all correspondence to Nationwide direct.....

NATIONWIDE....have taken the £10 & referred it to an old current account I had with them & not the credit card with drydens which it was for.

      Any advice?....

Re: shas v A&L and the world

Just quick bit for now - send a CCA request to Nationwide direct on the c/card account.

          Thinking on rest

          Great work honey x

Re: shas v A&L and the world

I did send £10 to nationwide. They have applied it to an old bank account I had with them. Should I write & say it is for the credit card & not the flex account as their letter presumes?
            ------------------------------- merged -------------------------------
Closing the drydens account looks like an act of 'guilt' to me. I need to send a copy of the letter to my dmc so that they pay the right people now!

Re: shas v A&L and the world

The £10 you sent to nationwide should relate to ALL account held with them in your name. EVERYTHING they have about you as an individual - so yes write to them and tell them that. I'd be tempted to do a seperate cca too.

Sorry, Im still getting used to this!

The cca letter is the one with the £1 sent with it isnt it? I'll get that printed off now for the nationwide!
                ------------------------------- merged -------------------------------
I've wrote to the nationwide stating that the £10 was for my credit card account primarily & that I am named on a joint named flex account where I'm not the lead name. I've given both account numbers...

I've also printed the cca letter...

                    time to write some letters....

send one of those to each of

Marlin - They've applied to hfc banc for the relevant info....

Cabot - Sent my postal order back & have made several urgent attempts to get the documentation from the original lender, have apologised to me & have suspended collection on this account until the relevent info is supplied to me....

Moorcroft - have requested the info & will send to me once they receive it. They also ask me to provide an indication of the info i will be relying upon when giving evidence or info in relation to the alleged subject matter of this account???

                    UCA - haven't replied.

Direct legal collections - have turned into hillesdon securities & have provided me with a signed copy of a personal loan agreement with egg....which is my credit cards joined into 1 debt....

Drydens - account closed & sent back to nationwide.

                    with a £1 postal order.

Give them your account numbers if you have them otherwise name and address should be enough.

Capital One - have reviewed my account as a gesture of goodwill & will reduce the default sums to £12 which means a total of £48 will be added back to my account...
                    Barclaycard -
Egg - are offering me a refund of £4 on 5 default charges of £20....Im a little bit lost with egg because they are offering this on a credit card number which is different to the 2 cards that made up my personal loan???

                    Marbles - awaiting reply

                    Goldfish - awaiting reply

Amex - says I knew Id be charged if I defaulted - end of basically.

Sorry if I've said some of this before...Can anybody advise me on this please or what's next?...

Re: shas v A&L and the world

I've had £125 of bank charges refunded to me from first direct today & all it took was 1 phone call! They charged me them last monday & I rang them, did an ie with them... at the end the lady wanted to suspend my account because i was in hardship.. I said 'well now you've established that Im in hardship, can I have my charges back please?'... She put me on hold, then came back & said that she was willing to keep my banking facilities as they are... I log in today to find ALL of the charges have been refunded, without a word to me... How great is that!

Regarding the other accounts.... is there any advice anybody can offer me on what my next moves should be?...

Marlin - They've applied to hfc banc for the relevant info.... Don't hold your breath on this one

Cabot - Sent my postal order back & have made several urgent attempts to get the documentation from the original lender, have apologised to me & have suspended collection on this account until the relevent info is supplied to me.... Until they comply you have nowt to say to them..

Moorcroft - have requested the info & will send to me once they receive it. They also ask me to provide an indication of the info i will be relying upon when giving evidence or info in relation to the alleged subject matter of this account??? Why are they asking this. Do they already have a judgement or looking at court action ? If neither then it's none of their business.

UCA - haven't replied. Still not sure who they are !!

Direct legal collections - have turned into hillesdon securities & have provided me with a signed copy of a personal loan agreement with egg....which is my credit cards joined into 1 debt.... Could you scan this up ? Also when was the CO granted

Drydens - account closed & sent back to nationwide. When was the CO granted and do you have the court paperwork for it. I assume you have this in writing as this should be very useful..

Should I tell my dmc not to pay Cabot for the time being as they are still doing so?

Any of the DCA payments that have exceeded to 12 working days of your requested can be put on hold.
SO that's Marlin, Cabot, Moorcroft, and UCA.

Best to hold the payments rather than cancel at the moment as they "might" turn up compliant paperwork.

Mind you want accounts are they chasing ?

UCA = american express credit cards

CABOT = Littlewoods/Barclays credit card thats not in my name :-/

                              MOORCROFT = Goldfish (i think!)

MARLIN = HFC bank Marbles credit card

Golfish was hfc then barclays took them over.... thats why Im not 100% sure!

                              Final Charging Order - 8/11/07 - HFC Bank - £10978.83

I dont think I have all of the paperwork... the dmc would have it as I sent everything to them. All I have are the final charging orders which I kept for reference..

Regarding Drydens... yes I have a letter saying that they are unable to process my request for a copy of the loan agreement because they have been instructed to close their file.

Right... I will try & tackle the scanner now (not scanned anything for years!)........
