Mr R has a basic bank account with the co-op and we check our account daily as we have no overdraft facility.
In recent months we have been charged for going overdrawn despite checking our account and it showing online, and at the ATM as in credit. Once we were charged £25 for going £10 over after both the website and the ATM showed we have over £200 in the bank, when in actual fact we had £95 and I took shopping money.
They are now calling him regarding this, and are threatening to close the account, despite us proving we are checking the account and getting receipts from the ATM, the account is not being updated from their end, and their answer was either upgrade at a cost to a current account, or go to our nearest branch, daily.. and nearly 8 miles away, for up to date information.
Any advice on how to deal with this?
