Yip, in that case don't fancy your chances in getting a nationwide account . Remember, depending on how much it matters to you, a credit search will also be marked on your credit file and possibly lower it.

Can I suggest either a Nat West Basic Account or a Barclays Basic Account. Both of these are fairly easy to get - I got them, so they must be.

I too have fallen foul of the difficulty with the Co-op online banking system. With the two I've just mentioned, any debits pending show on your account, so if you had £100, but have £30 from that day's shopping waiting to clear, your balance will show as £70. It makes it much easier to stay on top of things.
