Yes we were stunned at first, I think it's rather clear as well, we are actually having that pic investigated.

        ROFLMAO

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

So out of interest, if anyone has any interesting spooky pics, maybe you could post them up, I'm sure Celestine won't mind.

I do have a few more, but they need to be downloaded onto puter first from the camera.

I know there will be sceptics out there, fair enough as we all have our own views on these things.

Not sceptical. The logical side of me finds it hard to accept that the troubled spirit would fight its way back from beyond the veil of tears, back stroke across the river Styx just to mess with a kitchen appliance.

I enjoyed this. Never experienced any of this stuff, myself, but I have always held the belief that - just because we cannot envisage or understand something - that is not proof that it does not exist. I pursued Christianity back in my 'hippie' years, and got 'dunked' twice at Baptist churches. I sought - but I did not find.

I now believe that true reality is NOT this temporal piece of space that we occupy here, but an immeasurably unimaginable realm where the physical constraints of time and space do not exist. Our glimpses of it - as I believe these phenomena to be - defy our primitive logic, of course.

So - I'm with Peter on this (I think), in that it defies our logic - but that in itself does NOT mean it is a load of old bull. I reckon there is no way that our feeble minds could understand the 'big picture' if we were able to see it from here. We make of it whatever we can, but we deny our own primitive intelligence if we dismiss it out of hand and without further investigation.

I relinquished my membership of the Flat Earth Society at about age 6, I think. It's still flat for most intents and purposes (as ably demonstrated by Mercator) - but the bigger picture (as seen from space) seems to prove otherwise, these days, doesn't it ? !!!

I relaly do admire eloquence like this, yes that is exactly what i meant.

We cannot hope to understand something that our senses are not designed to appreciate.

We evolved in a particular anex of the universe.

I do however have problems with the belief that personality survives death, i have witnessed it change diminish and dissapear in the living so many times.

                    Peter,

I agree Peter, I always enjoy the way Bill phrases things - he should have been an author. I, like you, have witnessed, not many thankfully, people leaving this world. However, have you ever talked to people who have left and returned, as in technically been dead, but been brought back to life. Some have vivid experiences. The books I mentioned earlier on, while deep reading, explore all of this and while I still don't know what I think about these phenomena, I am sure there is more to it than we can understand.

I think the Human Race is incredibly bigoted when it thinks it has all the answers. I suspect and believe we know and understand only a tiny fraction of what there really is to know about ourselves, particularly when it comes to areas like the brain. When it comes to the universe, space, even as we understand it now, is uncomprehendable.

Those books reveal facts that one would never come across without taking a serious interest in these sort of matters. The pineal gland in the brain - it's not there for nothing, but almost nothing is known about it. It appears to account for much of the understanding, or lack of understanding, of these phenomena in people though.

                      All good stuff.

Interesting read above folks and yes I totally agree, as you would have to also see the evidence yourself to know what to believe as well.

Bill, yes he would make a fantastic Author, "hear that Bill"? amazing and says it as it is. I love following his posts lol.

Anyway, as in my first post I did mention about being brought up in a large house (due to large family) and we did literally experience things and actually seen and heard things with our own eyes.
When we moved (when I was a teenager), we understand a few families that moved in & out over the years after us also experienced strange going on's, and were also told they had to have a priest, not that it made any difference.

When we lived there, whatever it was it did not harm us, but our dog used to go crazy. I did used to see a lady in a long white dress and was not the only one either, she was just there.

I will mention another experience below, but its not a thing everyone will believe, fair enough, but this is what we did see happen.

One of my older sisters and I woke to see our younger sister standing by the bedroom door, but as there were 3 of us sleeping in the same room that night, she appeared to be in bed at the same time, now we both seen this exactly the same time, it is unexplainable, but she was there literally staring back at us!

I could go on, but it will take forever lol.

However, when I hear rattles, creeks etc even now, I think nothing of it, and do not always think its anything spiritual.

                          HI

Fascinating thing about this is the fact that everyone has an opinion but none can be proven right or wrong.

Personally i think much of this is down to the workings of the old grey matter.

In 2008 i was in intensive care for about two weeks most of it in an induced coma, you would not believe the detail and complexity of the hallusinations your brain creates, all perfectly real and integrated with reallity in a way that you do not know where one begins and the other ends.
You would wonder why your mind would do this to you.
One of the Phscs told me that it was a primative survival response in that the increse in adrenalin and other natural hormones produced by the brain when under stress aids the fight or flight mechanism.

                            Hi Peter

                            Totally agree.

I've known others to say the same thing, even though I no longer have my dad, but even he used to say about the things he used to see being in that position in hospital, mind playing tricks etc...also from meds given and so on.
I once remember him saying about all these black cats were staring down at him from the hospital ceiling, and that the staff were zombies, that was definately medically/meds related.
He unfortunately got worked right up the one night and the hospital had rang because dad was trying to get all other patients out of their beds saying that the staff were really zombies and vampires, he got most of them believing him too, as I assume the main of them were given meds which could unsettle and make them believe anything.

But yes I must agree with you.

Yes i had the zombie thing also, very scary particularily when you are totally immobile due to anesthesia, i was fortunate enough to come through it but spent a further 3 months in HD , i still get flashbacks now to the scenes created by my hallucinations.
