I think the real passport office send a letter to my relative telling her to go a little bit early ( maybe one hour before her appointment).

Dear All,

We need a concerted effort to report your experience to a wider audience. I understand that the excellent admin team may be organising something, but in the meantime, here are some ideas:-

Your local MP - find yours here:- https://www.mysociety.org/who-is-you...Fe_JtAodF2MABg
BBC Watchdog programme:- https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mg74/contact
BBC Radio 4 - You and Yours:- https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qps9/contact
Action Fraud :- http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud
Citizens Advice:- 03454040506

I am sure that there are others, and please add to the list. Ensure that your reports are factual. It will be acknowledged that you are upset, and angry, but PLEASE, PLEASE keep thoughts of how you would like this dealt with, and personal thoughts about the individuals to yourself, don't drop to their level, and give them ammunition to fire back at us here, or on any other forums or support groups you are involved in, I understand that it is difficult, but we only drop to their level if we try to retaliate that way, we are all much much bigger and better than that. I honestly believe that campaigning in the right areas is a really good way forward, and it should be recognised that justice should be on our side, and not that of those who hide behind a rather aggressive contract.

They are no doubt monitoring this on a daily / hourly basis - C'est la vie!

Dear Admins, I hope I'm not treading on your toes! Sorry if I am

I agree wholeheartedly Poltergeist ... the more complaints that are made (or campaigns started), the more they will have to listen!

I wonder if anyone has bothered sending off a SAR request to this 'company' yet (you would be a good bet here Mandid as you cancelled your application so quickly ) - they are registered with the ICO, so would have to comply to a request ... and the £10 statutory fee is nowhere near what they are saying people owe them for their services.

Kati, I had no idea what a SAR was - this page helped me:

https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations...ccess-request/

AFAIK, all the data held on my wife was on the copy 'contract' they sent to us. What would be the purpose of paying for a data request - would they have to provide copies of all notes, emails, letters, account info and comments, etc? I can see that would be very useful in preparing for a court claim - however seeing as they have up to 40 days to comply, it's whether it would arrive quickly enough in the event of proceedings being issued; I seriously doubt it in that case.

What benefit would a SAR request have?

I think a SAR would be a good idea however I agree with the timescale issue, and I also don't think for one milisecond you'd get honest and accurate documents from them if they even did anything to comply with the SAR.

I think we can ask for the same documents under CPR 31.14 OR even pre-action protocols once you have an LBA.... letter before action .... which I think most people have. If we do a formal pre action request we can present that to the court too. Will have a ponder on wording for pre action and once a court claim has been filed.

Dear All, I have this evening started a petition at the Change.Org site, which can be found here

http://chn.ge/1EyQAkL

Please sign this, and pass it on to as many family and friends as you possibly can, with the same message. Unless we can secure backing for this, this particular campaign will fall flat on it's proverbial!

The change we want to see is down to us. Share it on Facebook, twitter, your email contacts etc etc.

Anyone from the 'company' viewing this please feel free to sign it too, the more signatures the better.

I have already, within minutes of creating it, secured a couple of sigs.

If anyone can assist with a legal picture of passports to append to the campaign would be gratefully welcomed, plus any knowledge of how to do it would be good too!

Hi, I think the petition should be more general - against third party websites selling government services in general. I have signed it, but to gain traction I think it may be too specific. I don't really know how change works or if you can amend the text or make additions. Just a thought anyway xx

I'll try sort out a pic tmw for you - no idea how to put it on there though

Just for interest tho...see att rules...

Indeed. Maybe its a revenge thing - People sign up with their £1 trial, forget to cancel an start directing anger at Which? instead..... who knows how BPS's minds work. I have flagged it with Which, and I know EXC has too, I'll bump them, and Citizens Advice, again tomorrow when peeps are back in their office.
