Pre-action letter was sent ages ago to the usual address I corresponded with of a large office of a well known limited company.* This company discontinued the services relating to my claim a few years ago but are still using the same office building and still publish the address online for complaints.
Mistake 1.* I think I should have sent the pre-action letter to the registered office rather than the normal address.
There was no reply to my pre-action letter.* I thought they ignored it, but am now worried I did not send it to the correct registered office address.
Mistake 2.* Used the address of the large office as the defendant's address on N1 claim form - not the registered office address.
Q1:* If I carry on and serve the N1, I am unsure if it will be valid because I did not use the official registered office address.
Q2:* Even if I amend the address on the N1, will my pre-action letter be invalid because I did not send it to the registered office?
Q3: I could resend the pre-action letter again to the correct registered office address after issue but before service, however, this might technically breach the pre-action protocol because the action has started before the protocol has be done.
Due to limitation, I cannot start afresh.
What can I do?
