so I have submitted an Acknowledgment of Service.
shall I count 28 days from date the claim form was dated.

the wording below is from CPR31.14 which I’m sending today to Mortimer Clarke solicitors.

“To enable me to file my defence and/or counterclaim, I require inspection of documents you mention in your statement of case ahead of filing my defence onxx/xx/xxxx”

Please advise as I want to be clear in the place of xxx I put 17/2/2022 ( which is 28days from the date the court claim form has been issued)

    is that correct?

    or

I need to get that date from somewhere?

yes just use only date of claim only = use the check dates tag for your own information in by only = defence a day or so before as to not let them have tine to trash defence, do not give date by.

          Ok
so your suggestion is to just leave statement as:

To enable me to file my defence and/or counterclaim, I require inspection of documents you mention in your statement of case.

          1. Xxx
          2. Xx
          3. xxx

(list all the documents they mentioned on the claim form)

Example Defence between now and submission date adjust to read like? on such a date a request for CPR31.14 was made - to date not received etc (just preparation for now and can be adjusted prior to sending in, look around the site and see how others dealt with it gives you an idea of procedure
,, NOte:- never remind them of missing paperwork, their problem.

Ok. Do I have to write some official letter? If yes is there a template.
or just contact them via telephone number?
                                what is the procedure?
