Well of course you came up to the frozen North, not sure exactly how far from M1 it is but it is some distance I think. As for the food poisoning you have zilch chance of proving that unless you collected a sample:deadhorse:.

Who the hell would want to go to Wakefield...it's full of people from Yorkshire!

My friends and I used to visit Alton Towers every year about 13 years ago, we'd stay 2 nights at the hotel spending the first day in the park then the next day at the pool then the next morning at the park then home.
While we generally enjoyed it as there was some 15-20 of us we quickly realised just how little money is spent on the place, unless it was a new ride. We'd see the same wear and tear year on year. The same lights that were out on Hex, the same cracks and holes in walls of Nemesis's 'shell', the same water jets not working on Ripsaw etc.

The place needs a major refurbishment, I wouldn't be surprised if those none of things above have changed since we lasted visited some 8 years ago.

Alton towers used to be the best park in the UK by far in the mid to late 90's, but completely failed to keep it's place at the top. I think Drayton Manor is the best now and has been for some time.
