Good idea, and how about a 'where to avoid' thread too, so people who just want to go out somewhere where there's no kids around can read up and visit, mind you I suppose someone will start screaming discrimination for that.

yes indeed, the terms do exclude breakdowns.

However, that is not the end of the matter, there are ways around exclusion clauses lol,

If they do Sapph they are being 'tards..........I've been the 'parent' and trust me on this one (you know me well enough to know it's true) Jack NEVER EVER was allowed to be a screaming brat,,I removed him before he got to that stage of the tantrum (yes,,he had them,,very unsuccessfully).
I deplore screaming kids,,and parents screaming louder at the screaming kids,,If your child kicks off, take them out of the situation, calm them down (or batter them bandy,,each to their own msl and don't allow your child to become the 'Billy No Mates' cos you can't be arsed to teach them how to behave appropriately in public

OK,,,,,,YOU CAN ALL SHOOT ME NOW........I DON'T CARE......MY CHILD WAS REPRIMANDED AND HE HASN'T GROWN UP DERANGED OR 'SOCIALLY DEPRIVED' COS HE GOT A SMACK ON THE ARSE FOR BEING NAUGHTY.

Frankly, after the weekend, i wouldnt go back unless Alton Towers deal with this matter.

You cannot speak to anyone, you call them and end up on hold for ages, you then get told that you have to use the "feedback form" to lodge a complaint, and frankly even after my call with the resort this morning i am not confident that this will get deal with.

I asked for a manager or complaints department and they dont have one!!.

I understand people will have had differing views of the resort, but i can only report what i saw with my own eyes.

Its a dreadful way to run a theme park or even a business PT, I trust that if you get no where with writing to them that the story will somehow mysteriously arrive on the desk of someone in the media ?

It seems you're not alone in no desire to go back. In this fascinating Alton Towers staff document it says that 29% of those polled in 2009 had visited the place the previous year. Which is another way of saying 71% never went back.

It also says they have 10 Magical Rules for their customer service experience and No 6 is "Fun Fun Fun". Since your visit didn't sound much like fun to me you may get them on Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 on their "entertainment" failures

Well you could start with The Towers Times which has a forum for complaints. It seems that poor Ultimate Dingbat had a similar experience to yours if you're thinking of going down the class action route

PT - you have obviously already achieved something with their "complaints" procedure. Have just looked at their site and there is now a caveat that the "smiler" is not working!

I am so angry on your behalf - when you have little ones your whole plans are influenced by what will be magical for them (that is your joy - forget the rest!) and if they are disappointed it is all the more cruel.

One other (less negative) observation - one of my children goes there regularly with the grandchildren and sometimes can't be bothered with queueing for the rides but apparently there is a beautiful park also and the children enjoy that just as much although less freneticly x

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
