On page 13, they boast that they receive "approximately 15,000 calls a week to live operators".Originally posted by PlanB View Post
I wonder how many they re-route to dead operators.

On page 15 it says "It's very important how we react physically to a guest's complaint" :fear:Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostOn page 13, they boast that they receive "approximately 15,000 calls a week to live operators".
The staff are trained to use "55% body language" which explains why PT got two fingers when he tried to complain :argue:

Re: Alton Towers....not what i expected.
We went there quite a few years back not long after the hotel opened, I seem to remeber we got a special offer to stay on a Saturday, and we decided to make a holiday of it and stay Sunday too. Although from memory it still cost a good couple of hundred quid! Cost us a fortune all told!
What they failed to tell us is that none of the rides were open, the hotel was deserted (Weird it felt like the shining) and there was nowhere within an easy drive to get something to eat. We decided to complain. What did we get? A free park pass to be used that same summer - needless to say we never went back!!!

OK, so Orlando has it's dodgy areas, but if you stick to the main tourist area like International Drive, you should be safe enough.Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostAnd the local muggers usually carry at least one pistol.
Or take them to:Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostI cannot answer the poll accurately, because:- I do not have any children and

They would find it even harder to return from there!Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostOrkney.

I went all the way there once, over 20 years ago, the landscape was quite barren, no trees, and it was freeeezzzzing in September, despite having sunshine!
You have to wonder why that many people call, :confused2: surely most of them to complain,Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostOn page 13, they boast that they receive "approximately 15,000 calls a week to live operators".
in this day and age, you can get all the info you need from the website, so why all the calls?

Re: Alton Towers....not what i expected.
To try and make amends to my son for the crappy day we had there I went on a rollercoaster with him.....and considering I'm petrified of heights, rollercoasters et al he was suitably impressed until my sister very kindly pointed out I had my eyes squeezed shut all the way round and was screaming like a banshee, clinging on to her arm like a baboon vowing to kill someone unless someone got me off there NOW!! (my street cred lasted all of 2 minutes)
