As my guess was placed before you AMENDED the rules

I should have been given the opportunity to amend or remove my guess.

I entered into a contract based on the 'Historic' terms, you did not write to me to inform me of any chancges to these terms.

Dear Pkea,

Thank you for your complaint, which we have investigated in accordance with our Customer complaints procedure which incidentally is approved by the 'SAS' (Sweepstake Approval Society ). You appear to be unhappy about the Amendment to terms applied to your "Budgie's Big Judgment Sweepstake" entry.

Whilst we endeavour to assist all Customer's who are experiencing difficulty in sensible guessing and sore loseriness. We regret to advice you that on this occassion your complaint is totally without foundation. This was not an amendment to terms as you claim, it was infact a new additional term which was properly notified in an acceptable manner and in advance of the specified closing date for entries. This additional term was invoked in accordance with rules laid down in Section 2.3.1, paragraph 9 sub section Ciii of the Sweepstakers regulations and as such is fully justified and beyond reproach.

We realise that you may be diaspointed that your complaint has not been succesfully upheld. So as a gesture of goodwill, we are willing on this occassion to award you one bonus point which you may use to either reduce your overall score in the sweepstake in question or allow you a free entry into the next major sweepstake event.

We have also taken the opportunity to send you our leaflet " How to avoid making stupid guesses in sweepstake competitions" which we hope you will find useful.
