    Re: Budgie's Big Judgment Sweepstake

    OK Folks,

Here are the results you have all been waiting for.

Section A ) Total number of goals in the two Champions League Semi
Finals. Tuesday Liverpool Vs Chelsea and Wednesday
Barcelona Vs Man Utd. ( Judge Budgie ) RESULT 2

Section B ) Total number of pages in the Test Case Judgment as issued
to the Public on Thursday 24th April. ( Judge Exc ) RESULT 119

Section C ) Total number of Members of Public in the Test Case viewing
room at Noon on Thursday 24th April. ( Judge Exc ) RESULT 1 *

    * According to Exc there was actually no one in the viewing room at noon ( as everyone had left around 11AM ) Well all except one poor lonely old tramp like figure who appeared to have fallen asleep in the corner of the room under one of the benches. Later investigation dicscovered that this was actually Dave from CAG who hadnt fallen asleep but had knocked himself out looking for his NEW CAG username and password which he had written on a piece of paper ( so he didnt forget it ) and had dropped it on the floor when the result of the Test Case was announced.

Now for the all important results :-

These have not been indepentantly audited but I am pleased to announce the winner as

ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME

              Re: Budgie's Big Judgment Sweepstake

im not sure the maths are correct (not that im bitter ;-)

if someone guessed the correct number of goals - the difference between their guess and the result is 0.

The sum of guessAxguessBxGuessC would be 0xAxB, and as any primary 4 pupil will tell you (i.e my daughter ;-) 0 times anything is 0.

Therefore, anyone who correctly guessed the goals scored would have a total score of 0.

There is something 'jeremy clarkson' about this and I think we should have a stewards enquiry! :okay:

(if im wrong, im sorry :spy

In fact im am kinda wrong, their score would be -10 including the bonus for the correct guess lol

No I think you are right mate. How come if some one guessed correctly 2 goals, then someone wrongly guessed 3 goals........that they have the same 'difference' of 1.

                  I demand a re-count!!!!

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

                    Hiya Stevo,

I did actually add a rule to my original post to cater for the CORRECT GUESS scenario. See below and post 13 on this thread. This was written in PIL and in good faith. Only two people correctly guessed the total number of goals in Section (A) and their "difference" for that section has been set at "1" and 10 bonus points have been deducted from their overall score. No one correctly guessed the number of pages for section (B) and no one correctly guessed the number of Members of Public in the Test Case viewing room at Noon, section (C) so the added rule did not need to be invoked for these sections.

Added rule : For purposes of overall scoring, if one of your guesses happens to be spot on then the difference for that result will be scored as "1" But a bonus 10 points will be deducted from your overall score.

The official PDF version of the Judgment posted by Tools on the LB site contains 119 pages and Exc judged that there was only 1 member of the public in the viewing room at noon.

If anyone else wishes to refute the legality of my Glorious win in the Test
Case Sweepstake then bring it on!

Did you also remember that away goals count as double, ie next week Chelsea are indeed 2-1 up on Liverpool. So therefore it is indeed 3 goals.

I am willing to enter into a TEST CASE to prove that I am the correct winner of the "Budgies Big Judgment Sweepstake"

I have already reserved the services of George Doctor ( second Cousin of the OFT's former QC ) who is willing to represent me in this matter.

Away goals only count double in the event of an overall drawn result.

There is no overall drawn result here Sapphy. I won it by miles
