Hi everyone.
i contacted Lloyds bank in December as someone told me that you could reclaim ppi on mortgages (I did look a few years ago and read that you couldn't)
I took the mortgage out in 1997 and paid it off in 2004. I was definately mis sold the ppi as it wouldn't cover me for redundancy as I had 2 jobs, and I was fully paid for 24 months in the event of sickness. I explained this at the time but was told it was a condition of the mortgage.
lloyds have now rejected my claim as they say they have no record of the mortgage, but that i must now send them £10 to their archive department who will look to see if they can find a record of it. Is this normal? Is it worth sending the £10 as surely if they have no record, then they have no record? Has anyone else been in this position?
if a bank rejects the claim...is it worth pushing it?
thanks
