Yep i'll get you a SS for bank charges too---

Remember---we keep claims for Bank Charges separate from PPI Claims as they are separate depts within the organisation--and if mentioned in the same letter--you will get the "passed it on to another dept" answer
      Hi Turboman,

No luck with pre October 2001 details at moment but I'm not giving up yet and I'm still on the case.

Will this be a problem completing the PPI spreadsheet and if not is there a link for the appropriate one so I can start entering figures ?

      Cheers

          Hi Bazza

Been a bit busy over the weekend with my beloved Hull City in the Cup final

I'll get spreadsheets soon---BUT---for PPI we don't send em to the bank/company---we have em to either estimate the redress or to check their offers---no way do we declare our hand and ask for a sum for PPI redress

SO--concentrate initially with di30 in preparing your FOS reclaim pro forma (FOS Site) and a supporting letter detailing why you think you were mis sold PPI---sums are secondary at this stage---similarly make sure you detail the date of account opening too and ask for redress + details of how that redress has been calculated--as per the FSA Handbook ps/10 Example 6---its up to them to show you their figures--not for you to claim a figure

The charges similarly--but as I have stated----keep correspondence separate from each other or else you will be passed around branches ad infinitum

            Hi Bazza

As Turbo says, continue with the reclaiming, but not to worry about adding the figures, as they do not actually require these as such, its just good to know later on, so if they come back with an offer, it can then be compared to what been worked out here........

You can download the bank complaint form from the FOS site (not the one to complain to the FOS) but the ones the banks/business also provide (as they provide the same complaint form), or go direct to RBS (if you've not already done s, and you will also find the PPI complaint form on their site and details of where to send etc).

Many thanks again for your reply.

Just to let you know I have already had PPI claim upheld by FOS but rejected by bank. FOS have just informed me that they are going back again for their reasons so I just wanted to get an idea of a bench mark figure now, hence my request for appropriate PPI reclaim spreadsheet.

As for the unfair charges, I have kept this separate with a standard letter only requesting refund but I do have a final figure in mind so awaiting their response.

Oh yes and very unlucky saturday, been there myself mate.

Many thanks Di, and yes that was the address that my original PPI complaint went to, in which was referred to FOS in the end and the adjudicator upheld it. RBS still disputing it but as mentioned to Turboman, FOS are requesting that RBS provide further evidence in which has not been forthcoming, so fingers X.

I just wanted to start trying to get a figure in mind if eventually successful, hence my request for appropriate spreadsheet. I have most of my statements apart from about a years worth (trying to locate them in-house), as per SAR request recently received.

I may need some assistance of what figures to enter and if I can start entering details without the missing statements.

Re: RBS PPI SAR Help please

Just to up-date the situation, spoke to FOS Adjudicator and then a manager and basically was told again that the matter is still being negotiated with RBS but could not say how much longer this would be

I asked if the bank had provided any further evidence as requested but was basically told that the matter is being dealt with ? How long do banks get to provide further evidence when FOS up-hold a claim ? It's been nearly 16 months now !

Anyway in the meantime, I managed to locate some missing statements pre 2001 - Do I send copies to FOS as part of my complaint ?

Re: RBS PPI SAR Help please

Need some expert advice regarding my RBS PPI complaints.

Just to recap regarding my complaint (I won't post up under new thread as in relation to the SAR) ;-

                    PPI Complaint Aug 2012
                    Rejected by RBS Oct 2012
                    Submitted to FOS Oct 2012
Upheld by FOS Adjudicator April 2013 but still rejected by RBS
Told to be patient by FOS as negotiating rather than going to Ombudsman ?

Well in November 2014, I finally received a letter from FOS advising that the bank would be making me an offer.

December 2014 receive a letter from RBS thanking me for accepting their offer ???

Also attached to letter was a customer offer calculations breakdown in which I thought was very brief. So I contacted the FOS adjudicator complaining in what I had received and that there was nothing to sign and return, to agree to their offer and they had quoted the above mentioned.

There is no mention as to what period the refund is in respect of, how many months paid, no mention of any interest APR % used etc

I added that I was expecting a more explanatory breakdown as I believed that I was entitled to this as per FSA/FCA handbook but I was basically told that due to complexed calculations that I may not receive anything further ????

Anyway I tried contacting RBS but the person dealing with my complaint was away, so I submitted a further complaint in writing on 13th December 2014 (yet to receive a reply) requesting details previously mentioned.

The account is with their in-house debt management team in which I have had a repayment plan in place for a few years, so I do not have a problem with the amount being deducted from arrears, it's just that I had calculated a different figure and would have appreciated a bit more detail, including the opportunity to accept / decline offer.

Today I received a monthly statement and now they have already deducted the disputed amount from my balance !

Any advice what to do next would be appreciated and do I still have a case for further complaint, not only with the way FOS handled it but also RBS actions without my acceptance ?

I have attached edited letters for information and I would also be interested to know if anyone has experienced the same.

                    Cheers
