Re: Lifestyle money is now arb advisory?
You might be able to make a section 75 claim to the credit card company for a refund of the up-front fees but I'm not sure if you can on a closed account, but it might be worth a try - download the PDF doc from this link http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...IWsenXCUg1TxWQ.
Firstly we need to establish what you paid and why. Typically there were 2 types of up-front fees that Lifestyle Claims/Lifestyle Money charged: an initial 'administration fee'' of around £395 and sometimes an additional 'priority service' fee of around £700. Both these amounts were charged per claim.
The administration fee is relatively easy to claim back under sec 75 as Lifestyle's terms & conditions state that they were refundable if your claim was unsuccessful, which yours apparently was. The priority service fee is more difficult because they were not referred to in the written terms and conditions that you could prove to the credit card were breached.
You almost certainly would have paid the initial administration fee and if your name appears in the long list of creditors that appear sideways towards the end of the attached doc then this would assist your case for a section 75 claim. Please note that the names are not necessarily in alphabetical order within the letter groupings.
On the Real Time Claims/Equifax issue it would be great if you could report it to the Claims Management Regulator. If you're prepared to we can help you do that.
