stating claim now before your time runs out for one stating that you can clain back to 2004 for 2

You have 6 years from the point of discovery so the chances of your time running out is very remote

2004 is a lie you can go back as far as you can prove and not the 6 yrs the cmc's claim

indeed i have claimed back as far as 03/99 as i managed to get the proof out of the bank and the limitation act is very clear on the limitation period but cmc are not willing to take anything on longer than 6 yrs as it is harder they feel and as a result many claimants could be losing out

Have this one from the FLA been posted up, there is a downloadable attachment bottom of the page in regards of the 2010 PPI complaints workshop - the New FSA rules New NOV date.

                2010 PPI Complaints Workshop

                12 Nov 2010 - 12 Nov 2010
                FLA, Imperial House, Central London

This will be an opportunity for delegates to discuss the implications of FSA’s new PPI Complaint Handling rules. The course uses workshops to illustrate the impact of case decisions to delegates.

The key objectives will be to ensure an understanding of the new rules, but more importantly share experiences when assessing how the rules will work in practice.

By the end of the workshop delegates:
                • Should have a good understanding of the new rules
                • Will have discussed the implications of the rules in terms of what will be the ‘new standard’ for assessing and redressing complaints
                • Will have carried out case studies that examine the investigation procedure, the decision process and the calculation of redress
                • Should have a greater awareness of the potential impact the new rules will have on their own internal processes
The attached document is on the link here on the bottom of that page...

I don't think anyone has tarnished them with the same brush.

But to be fair there has been an attempt to whitewash them with the same implement, with the suggestion that ''A CMC surely cannot make money.. unless the consumer gets a refund....''

The final version of the Open Letter Standards - the ones that are the focal point of the BBA's Judicial Review application - is at appendix 4, page 135: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pubs/policy/ps10_12.pdf

no i have no connection to any CMC, dont need to use them as i know how to complete a claim for myself and for my friends and family.

but, i note from reading around the interweb, most of the latest snippets of good information are coming from them.

                            i can only applaud this.

CMC's stand to be heavily hit by all of this. If the cases aren't being investigated then they will not have any income.

Does anybody know the exact nature of what complaints fall under the review and which ones don't. I know that some lenders are investigating those not subject to the review but what is the criteria for this?

Well CMC's have had it far to good for too long tbvh. The only real avenue open to them is credit card charges and that anyone can do it does not take the brain of britain.

Some of our members after writing a simple letter have had refunds within 9 days. But the CMC's still manage to pesuade folk to part with their money upfront as they believe everything they tell them.
