Drive Assist are not as far as I can see are not a Claims Management Company - they are not authorised by the Ministry of Justice.

Drive Assist are just a company that deals with Motor claims.

I don't suppose that makes any difference to the general advice I've been given. Are you sure? I mean, I have a claim, they are managing it, doesn't that make them a CMC?

Cleverclogs, I didn't sit on him because I really didn't want the police to get him and confirm his drunkeness because that might have invalidated his insurance and judging by the car he was driving, a fifteen y/o Nissan Micra, he is not a man of means.

And yes, he did have valid insurance.

No it does not, a Claims Management Company are authorised by the Ministry of Justice, these people are not purporting to be a CMC.

Yours is a RTA accident claim and they do not come under that umbrella. Have you signed a contract with these people and are they taking a percentage of your financial claim if they win or how much are they charging you to act?

Fair enough, but you can take pretty much anyone to small claims court and like I said, a form of contract exists because I agreed to give them my car and they agreed to fix it for me but I haven't signed anything.
