  • JPS Financial asking for money

    Hi
A few years ago I signed up with JPS Financial for PPI claims. They recovered some money and I paid up and that was that. One bank refused to deal with them so I did everything and got a very modest pay out. This was 2 or 3 years ago and then last week I had a letter from JPS Financial asking for a cut of the money or dire consequences etc. I’m inclined to ignore them. Is that wise?

    Thanks

They have now sent me an invoice for over £600 for “hours spent pursing my case”!

You should absolutely make a formal complaint to them and that way you can refer it to the Claims Management Ombudsman if they either reject it or don't give you a final response within 8 weeks.

I engaged JPS in 2015 for two claims, they were successful with one claim but unsuccessful with another. I was able to obtain a refund via another company last year. 6 years later I’ve received an invoice stating that I had not informed them that I had reclaimed the money and they had incurred admin charges and I must pay £200 now. I’ve tried calling but they’re not taking calls and I have to email, which I’ve done but I’ve not had a response. What should I do? I can’t afford this?
