    Re: lloyds scums

I had an overdraft limit of £500 originally and yes they are monthly charges for that. I had enough money to cover the overdraft charges but they also charged me for the silver account I had with the bank. that made me overdrawn.
yes amazon took money out of my account without my knowledge. I called Lloyds about this and they told me to call amazon but it already made me go over the limit and only was able to get the money back 5days later, so I had to increase my overdraft limit....unfortunately the charges were already on my account so could not do a thing.

Was there an overdraft on the account because you cannot accrue interest on an overdraft if you haven't got one?

so they charged me £78.39 in the following month. than in June unauthorized transaction has been made by amazon(please explain this? Are we talking fraud? or was the transaction made and Lloyds charge because there was insufficient funds in the account to cover the card payment?) and they took £50 from me so I had to increase my overdraft limit to get rid of overdraft charges - been told by Lloyds. than surprise- surprise Lloyds charged me again (overdraft interest and card charges)and went overdrawn once again.a month later I found out they charged me £120 because of amazons unauthorized transaction, which took me deep into red. thats when I took the loan agreement as the only option left according to the bank .... when I agreed I ve been told there will be no further charges - I believed it and now I am in the same situation...feel like going in circles..

Caspar: what du you mean by more formal IE sheet, can you specify please? thanks

also would you be able to explain what is hardship legally? thanks
The amazon issue is on that interests me. Why was it unauthorised? What was it for and was it fraud?

as far as am aware leclerc already transferred my IE sheet to the hardship forums and yes I will be waiting for the response from you guys before I make any steps. although I was unable to pay Lloyds for loan AND CHARGES last month so I will need to do something asap.

My link was to a more formal Income / Expenditure sheet which I think you (and we) would find more useful in order to advise you. If you could transfer the info - it will also cover some of the things you may have forgotten to include and automatically calculate pro rata payments for you.

To clarify re moving the thread to the Hardship Forum, Sapphire who is site team has done so.

Something that seems odd is the phrase "and MOT when it is necessary", do you mean you pay it when it is due?

I do want to clarify one thing, how did the account go into the red in the first place, ie what was the cause of the charges?

    OUTGOINGS:
    Rent: £250
    Gas and Electricity £60
    Housekeeping £50
    TV license £10
    Traveling £10
    Phone and Mobile £45
    Maintainance £100
    Clothes £20
    £580

    Creditors:
    Lloyds TSB (loan) £40
    Barqlays credit cr £15
    Littlewoods £20
    HFC bank (Laptop) £23
    Car Insurance £67
    £165

All together £580+£165= £745/ month (outgoings)

    INCOME: £755/ month

I do not receive any more student loan as I have received the 9 payments from the SL company and will not receive bursary either as I am in the final semester of my studies.
My income drastically decreased in the last 2 month as I am going through redeployment and I have lost out on overtime opportunities. I cannot take full time because it will be impossible to finish my studies (4month left). It also looks like, as the company I am working for was unable to find me a suitable job, will be made redundant on the end of this month.
any more information needed please let me know.
    thank you

I changed my account to current account when I have been in the branch (3weeks ago) as that was the first time I have been told I have an option to open a current account, so I do not pay the £7.95 any more.

    Food?-or have I missed that?

Yes I certainly can, but first things first hey! Would you mind (and you can call me all the names under the sun - I can't hear you!!!lol) transferring the above onto one of these IE sheets:

    http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ad.php?t=19592

We'll then have a good look at it, and only if we can prove genuine hardship would you be advised to send the freeze interest / charges letter. I can see some things ommitted already such as MOT, car repair costs, council tax?

One step at a time! I've posted the two possible letters below (thanks Sapph) but please don't send them till we know you can prove genuine hardship.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Re: Your Reference

Since making that above agreement with you, our circumstances have changed.

We cannot now afford to agreed monthly payments because ... [add your explantation here, keep it brief and in one paragraph if possible.

We enclose a Personal Budget sheet which shows our total income from all sources, and our outgoings. As you can see we have only £??? per month left for our creditors. The offers we have made to our creditors have worked out on a pro−rata basis, and we have written to all our creditors asking them to accept reduced payments.

In view of our circumstances, please would you agree to accept a reduced offer of £??? per month. If interest or other charges are being added to the account we would be grateful if you would freeze these so that all payments made will reduce what I owe you.

Should our circumstances improve we will contact you again.

We would be grateful if you would send a paying−in book to make it easier to pay you. Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

    Yours faithfully

We enclose a Personal Budget sheet which shows our total income from all sources, and the total outgoings of our household. As you can see we have no money left to make offers of payment to my creditors.

In view of our circumstances, would you please accept no payment at present to be reviewed in six months. If interest or other charges are being added to the account, we would be grateful if you would freeze these so our debt does not increase.

Should my circumstances improve we will contact you again.

Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

I am going to ask that the thread be moved in the Hardship Issues forum. Personal opinion is that it isn't financial hardship but the charges MIGHT make it a close run thing.
