sapphire i keep getting knocked back on opening a new account due to my credit rating,have just got off the phone to cccs and they say that its against the rules to do a credit check on a basic account because i'm not asking for credit and that it was best if i went in and opened an account and if i get knocked back ask for the decision in writing and threaten them with the finical ombusman..will be marching in to barclays tomorrow who they seem confident will give me a cash card account.they say the only people knocked back are those who have a history of fraud.
also told me to stop paying my loans because they are unsecured and just make a token offer to pay per month.
with regards to llyods they told me to offer a 1 pound a month payment to settle my fees.
so hopefully will have a new account tomorrow and then i can manage my outgoings.
cccs are ringing back in 2 weeks time to help sort out paying the loans and bank back and have been extremely helpfull and i would sugest anyone ring them for free help and advice.
things are looking up

spoke to llyods customer servises toaday and they say the the freshold limit is $500 a month so with the wifes parttime wages and working tax we exceed the limit so therefore do not have grounds for a claim.
they also stated they do NOT stop fees or interest and ONLY come up with a credit plan,but only if you have sufficent income coming in to pay them back.
the advice was to stop direct debits lol,they have took 760 pound in the last 3 months in fees and interest...which is why we are over the overdraft limit and incurring the fees. totally f*****d off

Sorry are you saying here that they are saying you are not a hardship case and can not reclaim fees?

Have you actually sent a letter into Lloyds fully explaining your situation.

I notice Amethyst posted that she was going to work on a letter for you, did this get overlooked?

If it has been overlooked then I suggest we work on this for you tomorrow and get things properly kick started.

yes that is what they are saying,they say to be a hardship case you have to have less than 500 quid a month coming in...also say that they can not do a finical plan for me because i dont have enough money coming in to repay it.:0
they say they dont ever stop interest payments and fees!!! but would extend my overdraft if i had money to cover the payments.just told me to stop all direct debits to stop me getting them bounced.unhelpfull is not the word

would very much like help regards a letter.

as it stands right now i have asked for giros for my incapacity and DLA,that way i can pay some bills without the fees.wife has/is putting her wages into my sons account for the time being.
overdraft will just keep soaring with interest alone,but im not bothered about that they cant have what i aint got its blantantly obvios to them that its there fees which is making me go over my overdraft limit,like i say the last 3 months alone is 760 quid.they just seem hellbent on taking as much of me as possible and hope that the court case goes in there favour.

I dont know where they are getting he £500 a month fgure . you could have £1000 pm and still be a hardship case if you have had a change in your circumstance and your outgoings exceed income.
