If you allow 2 days for posting, it's only just been over a week. All you can do is wait I'm afraid.

          Hi Laura,

You could try giving John Bundy a ring to make sure he has received the letter and ask him when you might be likely to receive a response.

It's true that Ladidi did get a very quick response to her claim but in general the majority of others, claiming on hardship grounds, seem to have been waiting quite a long time for responses. Some have heard that they are an agreed hardship case and are waiting for proposals from their Bank as to what assistance can be offered.

I just think the Banks are overloaded with claims on hardship grounds and are trying to deal with the backlog.

              Re: Laura V Llloyds

I believe telephone number is 0845 600 6299, this is the number for the new centre in Brighton where John Bundy is based.

Am sure they will understand once you explain why you are calling on behalf of your disabled son.

Hope you are feeling a bit better yourself now Laura.

Just back from taking son on an appointment was kept on phone 30 minutes in end put phone down kept saying "We are extremely busy will answer your call shortly" son had a response today adressed to me at his address, from Credit Operations Customer Service Brighton. Dated Wednesday 26th August

                    Dear Sir/Madam
I am just writing to let you know that we`ve received your complaint. Thank you for taking the time to get in touch.

It`s important that your complaint gets the attention it deserves so we`ve sent it to our Andover Customer Service Recovery Centre which specialises in complaints like yours. Their telephone number is 01264-725214

It will take a couple of days for your complaint to reach Andover and we would be grateful if you bear this in mind if you need to contact them.

We expect our enquiries to be completed within the next four weeks but will try to get our response to you sooner if we can

If there`s a delay, we`ll let you know why and give you an idea of when you can expect to receive a full response to your complaint

In the meantime attatched to this letter is a document called "Voicing your concerns" This tells you all you need to know about resolving your complaint with us

The letter I sent to Lloyds Tsb that triggered this response letter received today, I demanded charges back from Lloyds Tsb and sent it to Queens Road Quadrant after advice off the board but it has now gone to where I sent John Bundy a letter, had no response from him and after 30 minutes waiting on phone ringing him today I gave up

                      Re: Laura V Llloyds

See post 33 on this thread.

I didn't think it was worth sending your letter to Head Office and suggested you just send it to John Bundy at Brighton. However you had already posted to Head Office and sent a copy to John Bundy. So, at the end of the day it doesnt really matter anyway.

You should be pleased that you have at least received a response from John's team down at Brighton although it's annoying that you had to wait 30 mins trying to get through to him on the phone.

The Andover connection is interesting! I just tried calling the number and listened to the answering service messages. I didnt get through but there is a facility for leaving your name, account number, sort code and telephone number and they promise to get back to you within 48 hours. So I think that is definitely worth a try Laura.

I suspect that Andover is a call centre that has been set up to deal with hardship claims and works in parallel with Brighton. I will try calling again on Monday to see if I can find out anything else.

                      Budgie X

                          Re: Laura V Llloyds

Budgie did you ring Andover any wiser? on 1st September they added more charges to sons account overdraft interest £24.99, unplanned overdraft fees £159 and for returning cheques £240 how can they justify £423.99 charges!!! for this month, so letters sent demanding they freeze any further charges because of the severe hardship they are causing as been totally ignored
Son has received a letter from Brighton PO Box 487 Collections Centre dated 26th August stating that overdraft arrangement comes to an end on 20th September, they state they will take away the overdraft facility if the unplanned overdraft amount isn`t cleared, the total keeps creeping up because of these ludicrous amount of charges they keep adding of course sons DLA of £250 which was paid into the bank on 2nd September was taken by the bank leaving is current overdraft amount at £1,665.21 the agreed limit was originally £700, my letters demanding some action on refunding charges gave them 14 days notice sent on the 19th August one to Andover and 1 to John Bundy

Get your sons DLA paid elsewhere....even temporarily.

Otherwise if you really can't then what date are they removing this £423 ?

We can do a letter of appropriation to ensure he gets his DLA out the bank before they swipe it.

We can also write to Collections and the Lloyds CEO me thinks outlining your sons situation and ask for some kind of immediate action on his account.

How many cheques had he written? and is he writing cheques because he cant get any money and they are the only way to get by ?

                              Hi Laura,

I have tried to get through to Andover a few times this week but keep getting the recorded message suggesting I leave a message and that they will then call me back within 48 hours.

I suggest that you try to doing this and if you cannot get through to a human then leave a message. Maybe also try calling John Bundy again at Brighton.

This cheque by all accounts is an old one that as been paid in by someone he he sent it to he hasn`t wrote any cheques (Well is partner hasn`t) for a long time those charges £423 were applied to the account on the 1st September I sent the collections a letter yesterday which was a copy of the letter I sent Andover, all these different departments and none of them in tune with each other, I expected them to suspend any further charges I mean how on earth can they justify over £400 a month to a lad on benefits or to anyone for that matter, will have to get his DLA moved can`t remember last time he had any of that without bank swiping it, I paid his £7 odd charge into his account to cover his acount charge for having a select account but that`s a waste and now with this unkmown cheque surfacing and of course will be returned today he will receive even more charges next time I am disgusted that nothing as been done yet on the grounds of hardship
