Hi all,
I would really appreciate advice on dealing with debts.
I owe £2000 to santander bank. The debt was 4 years 6 months ago. It was at an old address and I have no access to these letters [royal mail will not allow me to forward the mail as it is from a long time ago, and is over 300 miles away].
I am worried that I am getting letters at the old address regarding the above debt. However I am not sure if I should reach out to Santander with my updated address. I am worried that this resets the 6 year period so I am back to square one. The debt is almost 18 months away from being statute barred so not sure if I should just leave it.
However if I just leave it I may end up with a CCJ!!
Is there a way to contact them with my updated address [to show I did try and get in touch] but not contact them in a way that resets the 6 year period?
Any advice appreciated!!
