  • Small claims made against my son...

    Hello,

I have received a small claims form issued resulting from a dispute between my son(16) and a friend. Whilst my son lives with me, I had no knowledge of the whole issue, and it was his father who set up the account, arranged transfer of monies etc.
Why is it that I am being sued for an amount which I do not have, have not benefitted from, not did I have any knowledge or part in the transactions etc.?

    Any advice most gratefully received.

As you have not been involved in the matter you cannot be the defendant, if it was his father whom set up an account and transferred money then it is his father whom is the defendant.

Hopefully you found the guides to how to deal with this as your post is over a month old. Any further help you might need just post here.
