If a DMP really is the way to go, then there is also the option of doing your own.

e.g. https://nedcab.cabmoney.org.uk/dmp.asp which assists you in doing so.

Not for everyone, but you do stay in control and you are not putting your money in the hands of a 3rd party.

Do you want to go through things on here? (start a new thread) We might be able to help you sort things out yourself or at least have a better idea where best to go next to get things sorted out.

Payplan may be free for DMPs, but I've got the impression in the last few years that they have become a bit too keen to push you towards IVAs and some other paid services they offer.

Get an opinion on your best option from several free sources of advice if you can. Advice can vary. Then weigh them up.

I spoke to my creditors and they were happy to put my accounts on hold until further information comes out and I know where I stand. But Step Change do sound one of the ways to go if this doesn't work out - my situation was that we were just settling for full and finals.

Spoke to the Administartors this morning. They have asked for patients while they go through the process - still no indcation how long this will take or whetahre the money Bournes held in DMP accounts is safe but at least we should hear something in due course. its all a bit crappy though I agree.

Bournes Website still up and live this morning.

    Still nothing from the Administrators
Hi I am still wondering what the next step is do we go to another dmp like pay plan or step change( I should of stayed with step change) as Bournes have me worse off by saying they don't pay companies who still add interest on so would love to know what they done with the money that didn't go to some of my creditors.
Does anybody know how they work?

Ron......yes I also was speaking to him up to the middle of August. What I have concluded from the last couple of weeks is that we can't do anything until the administratirs decided to contact us. We must hope that our money is safe if not I know the names of the directors and other companies they are involved in.....rogue trders or watchdog would love to hear our stories but I am hoping it won't come to that as the administators will sort things out. I will certainly be in for a long fight if needed. I have spoken to the fca, companies house, insolvency service, citizens advice bureau, debt advisors, L A business recovery, madox brown solicitors, my creditors, FSCS and unfortunately at this time all we can do is wait. Next week should hopefully brings some news. God bless its good news.
