Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
Just rang Maddox And Brown. Again not much info off them. They said that they were informed yesterday that Bournes had gone into administration. He said that as it is in administration then clients will be protected. They are in the same boat as us as they worked for Bournes. He also stated that they are waiting for actions from the administrators. They may ask Maddox And Brown to do some of the work required. Letters should be sent out by the administrators within the next few days.

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
You will have proof you paid Bournes the money ... hopefully your creditors will accept that, and chase the administrators for the payments they are due
I am sure that other Beagles will be along soon to advise too xx

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
Thought I best ring my creditors direct....one hasn't been paid since 14 July which means payments from July and August standing orders to Bournes have not been made....this is getting darker please someone what are we suppose to do......just sit and wait.....surely we must have some legal powers.

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
righty...I agree they were suppose to be helping people in debt not causing more stress and potentially more debt, if I do not get my money back it will take me back 2 or 3 years and means I will pay back double what I originally owed before going with Bournes......NOT HAPPY!!

It better be ring fenced cos if it ain't the directors will be personally responsible for that money

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
I have been told by Madox Brown that the company has gone into administartion with LA Business Recovery in Middlesex, although they cannot confirm that yet. I also was in the process of settling so had quite a bit of money with them so feel your pain Baz10.
You can contact Madox Brown on 01618393181, I did yestarday - let me know how you get on. They can't tell you a lot and didn't really reassure me of anything.
I have looked up the directors of Bournes Ltd and found other companies they are associated with. If this goes wrong I will chase them down and get my money back or make sure through watchdog or rogue traders that they cannot do this to other people and carry on living there life of riley with other peoples money.
I am hoping that our money will be ring fenced and this will end in a good way - but I can't help but feel the worse time will tell.

Hi Baz10 and welcome to LB!! As soon as we have anything solid, we will make sure this thread is updated :tinysmile_grin_t:Originally posted by Baz10 View PostI've been with bournes and had know idea this was happening till I had a letter from one of my creditors saying they had restrictions placed on them. So tried calling several times (staff training) now been calling fca who told me to call money advice service and in the end had no clue what I was to do. Has anyone else cancelled there standing order? I was in the process of settling and had the money there to finish my debt with them! I've rang the madox brown number and that's now saying account locked. Let's hope we receive a letter soon or can find out who their administrators are! Extra stress while this plays out

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
I am also a client of Bournes. Was searching everything i could when i found this site. Atleast now i know abit of what is happening. I have just received my post today and still nothing off them. They have both my August payment and September payment that they have not paid out to the creditors. I paid 1st of every month. I have cancelled my standing order with them. Thankfully i have managed to make arrangments with my creditors to keep interest frozen and payments to the sum that i was paying to Bournes. Will keep an eye on here for any more details and will post anything i hear.

Re: Bournes Debt Solutions (Bournes Limited) - FCA requirements
So the original notice from the FCA which stated Bourne's had to write to customer's by the 17th of Septemeber is that still a requirement or now they are with the administartors does that become void. I have had to wait 2 weeks with no news whats another of couple of anxiuous worrying weeks!!!!

Think there is a limit of 14 days or something?
Shall have a look up, as I don't normally do much on the company side...

Keep an eye on all avenues. Gazette will get there eventually (even if slow) as it legally must be done, so that is the fallback if nothing else happens sooner.
