I know we're sniggering but really it is awful. Imagine seeing your OH's name on that list...or your school teachers....could cause no end of problems in relationships and jobs. We're quite open minded on here, but someone could be really very damaged by thinking people think they watched some of those titles. ACS Law were awful threatening people anyway and relied on that embarrasment to get their £500.

Thanks for the proximity search URL Seems to be getting a bit overloaded at the mo (about 1 search per second means their postcode lookups are failing sometimes) but thats good info. I feel sorry for the people on it. Especially that guy who had 'URANUS EXPERIMENT' next to his name like 10 times

well this is all one and the same problem with how data is handled and managed by these cretinous organisations. Like the CRAs. Only its not for watching "Granny Feck 1" and not paying one's bill, its for 1 missed payment on a Barclaycard which trashes your reputation for 6 years.

I typed in my postcode & thankfully nothing appeared (im far too innocent in the ways of the world for that type of thing )
Anyway 1 guys name appeared (i wont mention of course) - but had the title "ass to mouth" next to his name 10 times...each to their own i suppose :lol:

I posted it on before, but it wasnt there when i checked back so i just assumed 1 of the admins had removed it?
Anyway here it is again - all you have to do is type in your postcode to see if your name appears & what you are alleged to have downloaded...

Nice to see it confirmed that like Caesar's wife I am above suspicion, but there's one alleged down loader just a few doors away. This really is not fair, it gives me enough info to walk straight over there.

I feel so sorry for those listed, especially since it is likely to be inaccurate.

Recipients of ACS Law copyright infringement letters urged to come forward

NATIONAL law firm Ralli says recipients of file sharing bullying letters and demands for money may be entitled to compensation for harassment.

Ralli's harassment law team is already providing advice on potential claims arising from the letters and is urging others to come forward so they can be included in a group action they are pursuing......

or Slyck Forum last page of that thread is worth reading if your name is on the list. I suspect they'll come up with something constructive to do quite quickly.

Just a general point for a moment......
I am glad that the chickens have come home to roost for ACS Law.
They have caused so much misery for people over recent times, that i really do hope they get this fine or even better closed down completely.
Crossley has seemingly been the mastermind behind all this - i cannot say either way if he has anything to answer for in a criminal court...but personally speaking, i would like to see this man behind bars.
Naturally i feel sorry for the people whose names do appear.
What they do behind closed doors is their own business (so long as its legal of course)

thing is, the revenue lost the data for like 20 million people a few years back and nothing was done about tightening up data protection. there won't be much of a fall out over this either because the victims are porn addicts (well, the Uranus Experiment guy certainly is). you'd think he'd have like recorded it wouldn't you?

anyway, the CRAs are the biggie problem and the absence of an authority to police them properly.
