Re: Thames credit
Hi Jen
How long have you been paying to Thames Credit or is this another company who have bought the debt recently?
If you are unsure how much was paid to each creditor with your previous Debt Management Company then you are also able to send them a detailed Subject Access Request asking for this information.
IF you are unsure whether you have a valid debt to pay then I would suggest asking if you can make smaller token payments(i.e £5/month instead of £20) supported by an up to date I/E sheet. That way you are still paying off the debt if it does exist and also goes in your favour as still willing to pay if it goes to court. If you don`t owe the money then you will have minimised the amount you have paid until you receive the correct documents.
As Amethyst, Budgie and have stated send in the CCA request also asking for any supporting documentation as suggested by Pkea such as the statement of account, assignment notices etc.
Have a good read here Debt Template Letters

I`m sure you already have at some point but refreshing your memory won`t hurt.
