If the terms are very different you could use a copy of your brothers as an example and make a statement of truth yours was the same, although, tbh, then you have a copy of what the original terms were anyway so kinda defeats the object as you'd have to disclose that and then the bank could just copy it out. Same if you disclosed you held a copy of the original agreement.
Think its an issue Paul Walton dealt with with the RBS recons a couple years back (if you look in Paul can you confirm what the situation was) ta x So far as I recall he had the original, the recon was different, but only way to prove it was different was to disclose the original.
