I haven't been here since my first lot of charges were refunded last year, now it's a mess and I do not know what to do...
I wrote cheques which I called in advance to cancel, the advice from NW was because they were guaranteed with a card, they would still go through so no point. So I didn't.
I would just have to either put up with them being taken and me being charged, or them being rejected and me being charged apparently.
16/10 3 cheques rejected as upaid (funds did not cover) 16/10 charges -£114.00
17/10 1 cheque paid out amt £100 - this one took me over the o/draft
none of these cheques were requested a 2nd time, that comes later..
then I was paid and money went into account... so all fine for a while.
10/11 charge -referral for October -£60
the above covered payments for £1.81, £1.99, and a cheque for £150 that were all paid.
14/11 Guarantee card payment fee 'A' (chq) -£35
14/11 Unpaid items (d/d) -£35
14/11 Unpaid items (d/d) -£38
14/11 paid chq 'A' see above funds
17/11 Unpaid items chq 'B' and d/d -£76
18/11 Gtee card pmt fee chq 'C' -£35
18/11 paid chq 'C' despite even less funds than before ...
19/11 Gtee card pmt fee chq 'D' -£35
19/11 paid chq 'D'
20/11 Gee card pmt fee chq 'B' & 'E' -£70
20/11 paid chq 'B' & 'E'
1/12 unpaid d/d -£38
2/12 unpaid s/o of £5.52 - £38
on 21st Nov I was paid my salary which was swallowed. So I rang about the advice given re not cancelling the cheques, fair enough if they would have gone out anyway.
I was offered an 'internal' personal loan. I have since sent 2 docs back which I didn't sign correctly (I am also being made to sign for personal protection at about £16 a month for them to even consider this). I went to branch last wed as the docs they said they sent out again had not arrived. I then phoned Friday ("it takes 48 hours for internal post, ring back" ), Monday ( " call tomorrow, if still not received we can give you email address of person dealing ..." ) and today (" ring branch, nothing here ") she gave me the wrong phone number, rang back and that was the only no. girl had. Rang std tel and was given the 'branch' no which was a central answering service. Told to do this in branch, again.
All this, and they will probably be declined anyway!
I'm at a loss as to why they would charge me a fee for a cheque being returned, then accept and honour cheque second time around when an account is even more over the o/draf than it was last time...
I'm at a loss, I'd like to go on with the loan thing as I can't even afford to pay my childminder, can anyone suggest anything and where to go from here as I'm just at a loss and dumfounded.
Please, I know this is my fault in the first place but things have perhaps taken place that I think are a bit unethical, any good advice would be hugely appreciated!!
