On some forums if you can click on the posters name you can then see what topics they posted in or what thread titles they started. If you can't find a link to the threads in your e-mail.
I saw on a Watchdog program few yrs back. That with some of the firms who bought up other peoples debts. All sorts of extra or bogus charges were included on to the original and several were sold on yet again.
It was proposed that people who did not think the debt was all theirs or justifiable, that they had a right to insist the debtor prove by supplying the original bills and amounts. If they could not do so, then a Judge would be more inclined to decide in your favour as to how much was likely your obligation to pay back.
Is it possible that you can show how much you think you owed originally and supply the evidence to the Court.
I do not know how Court works. I'll have a look and see if I can find the program on you-tube.
