To be fair, GO84 has asked a legitimate question for which i will in my own opinion, hope to elaborate on.

Local authority parking tickets will not just disappear, if private bailiffs have been instructed and are unable to recover loss, then it will be passed back to the Local authority for further enforcement measures.

The worst case scenario is that you will have a County Court Bailiff knock at your door, arrest you, and haul you up in front of him that same day. County court judges are circuit or district judges doing their tour of duty in the lower courts. If the debtor still has the same stance with the judge, he has the power to find you in contempt. In reality though, an apology will suffice

Their is no such thing as TV licence avoidance. You have a statutory obligation to have TV Licence if you have equipment in your home, and are USING that equipment to receive Live TV Broadcast signals. TV licence inspector or Capita have to have absolute proof of guilt. They normally attain this by an indirect admission by the house holder which leads to a requisition or summons in front of a magistrate. They can apply to the magistrate for a right of entry warrant. This is unusual for a magistrate to grant one and is only issued after sworn evidence. Looking through a window and seeing a TV operational will satisfy that request This is the same as dealing with Council Tax non payment, but a magistrate will deal with it as civil penalties are involved. Only a judge can order a fine against an individual or committal to prison.

Water rates etc are all handled by the county court when a claim has been submitted. As stated, fail to pay and you will have county court bailiffs, HCEO (depending on the size of the judgement) attachment of earnings, arrestment of bank account etc. As with any outstanding obligations by the debtor, the claimant has to do an assessment on the respondents ability to pay, and the costs involved In bringing such action.

The worst case scenario is a spell at her majesty's pleasure, and still have to pay things like Council Tax when you are released.

This thread is distasteful and i find insulting.

One of the fundamental rights we have is choice.

That is the choice to agree or disagree with anothers view point. But to attack that persons point of view without any supporting evidence is insulting and ignorent. The comments made have been nothing but subjective and without merit.

Personally i do not agree with this Freeman of the Land doctrine as their has never been a recorded case in a court of law where a defence has been successful.

But i will not ridicule his points of view for which he is entitled to have, be them on you-tube or any other media outlet

And don't try and say he's isn't without at least watching some more of his videos or reading his comments to me.

Oh, then who was I referring to? To be honest I wish now I hadn't said a couple of things but I didn't realise people would be so sensitive to them. I could have just said he was behaving like a bum or a deadbeat rather than a pikey.

Well, personally I've never felt like I don't live in a free country, and call me naïve but I think it's a very long way from ceasing to be so, and I think 61shirley's stance is pretty over-the-top and he's taking common law far too literally, such as his claims that we should have to pay to park on public land because it belongs to us. BB..........you do make me chuckle hun,,you and Cloggy have taught me 50 ways to insult someone and confuse them with words at the same time
Bluebottle comes up with some hilarious comments, as does CleverClogs, however some seem to be distracted by it, for something different one could try the Elizabethan insult generator app for Android or Web OS

So we could describe a bailiff using this as "A fawning base-court pignut". meaning they are a grovelling inferior carrot-like plant eaten by pigs...

Oh go on! I am sure that if you really try you can force out some witty rejoinder humorously relating to a bodily function.

To me pikey means low life as in scally or chav. It has nothing to do with travellers. I am and have been for a good few years in both the East and West midlands the west midlands having some of the rudest and most ignorant people you can imagine. Even within a locality words take on different meanings.

The guy on the video was from North Nottinghamshire area and the accents are a bit rough, he was also trying to be clever in a smart alec kind of way. Certainly what he was saying about private parking companies seems to be the general advice given OTR as well.
