    Re: PRA Group

Well the letter stating that they have requested the documents and that they do not require the money would 'seal the deal'

While it is prudent to be aware of tricks I do not believe (from experience) that all debt purchasers are totally dishonest.

I have had cca fees returned followed by non compliant cca requests and letters admitting that they were unenforceable.

It's so obvious now that the debt purchasers and their minions are trying to pervert attempts to get copies of agreements as they lose so many claims by providing dodgy documents.
Why would a debt purchaser pervert i.e. deliberately fail to get documents

Wouldn't it be more likely to suggest that they are in disarray and are trying to get claims through the courts by default or admission. The vast majority of cases are not defended from what I understand

      Re: PRA Group

      Hello,
Got another letter from pra saying dates on original letter were incorrect. They have referenced for my records the correct dates.
I checked the delivery dates and only 1 letter has been signed for the other is missing in transit. Bet it is the reply to the pre action protocol that's aparently disappeared. Spoke to post office who say they will take 21 days to investigate. Any thoughts?

        Re: PRA Group

I would send another letter to the solicitors and if possible find a non PO box address.

If you can afford it , special delivery costs about £6 but is more reliable

However, I have had many a letter sent by signed for that the system has shown as not delivered yet a reply has been received, hell I even had a letter delivered to my own house signed for that was just shoved through my letter box - I didn't sign for it

          Re: PRA Group

Sorry that thread is not clear.
Sent 2 letters. Cca request and example letter re pre action protocol kindly added by Noah. Both 1st class signed for.
Cca request has been recieved and sent back to me with loyal order saying they don't need payment and info requested from account. Pre action protocol response not mentioned and still in transit according to p/o. Today revieced letter saying the dates ref when agreement entered into stated on pre action protocol were corrected as of this letter and does not in thier opinion detract from the substance of thier claim.
          Any thoughts?
          Thanks
          J

              Good

If you have an email address that you do not use very much you might want to send it by email as well as royal mail

              I usually put something like

Please find attached a copy of a letter that I sent on xxxxxx by Royal mail

              You could put

Please find enclosed a copy of the letter I sent on xxxxxx and xxxxxx
Please note This email address is shared and not secure so must not be used for correspondence

Hi, save time please, what did you send to Barclays?
When exactly did you send the CCA request?

I wouldn't start making any offers of settlement just yet. It needs to be very carefully worded especially with a company like PRA that likes to make up it's own rules as they go along.

OK So they are well over the 12 + 2 Working days now, but don't chase the CCA request.

CPR 31. 14 can be chased.
