Im Chairman the local British Legion in the highlands of scotland. We used to have a food bank run out of our Legion hall, for which we received a a Grant from the highland council. As part of the grant there were conditions to be met when the project closed.
These were; 1. A Project report which we have provided, 2. A formal accounting of expediture from the treasurer of the foodbank
The problem I am seeking advice is 2. The Foodbank in question were asked to leave the legion premises due to a breach in the rental agreement, the treasurer took her food bank and moved it elsewhere.
On requesting formal accounts to meet the highland councils condition, all that was provided was a bunch of receipts without a formal income and expediture report.
At the moment the foodbank treasurer is refusing to provide such a report or provide an expanation gleaned from my audit of the receipts which shows discrepincies WRT income (the grant) expenditure (receipts) of c£750, added to this there is evidence that the foodbank received donations of £500
What are my options to remedy this situation?
