I have obtained 3 default judgments. The oldest one going back 11 weeks. claimant did not reply to any mails/ emails/ tracked mails etc. now one month after having issued a warrant/bailiff they contacted a solicitor, who wrote me an email asking me to consent in order to give his client the oppurtunity to defend himself. And asks me to also stop all enforcement actions. Otherwise, if he wins, I could be made pay for the N244 applications.
I have had very strong cases to begin with,!so I am not really scared of them being succesfull with setting it aside and then doing the defense.... But why would I do that in the first place? I have paid for bailiff/warrant, N216.
I was hoping for a consent order and then recover the money I am out until now.
Which claimant would consent to just that? And why?
