Hi,
Today I received a letter from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton regarding 3 parking fines dated all the way back to 2015 from a company named high view parking limited who I presume have sold the debt to dab legal ltd. I have no idea why these people are chasing me after all this time but they are trying to get £674.88 then court fees of £60 and legal representatives cost £70 for a total of £804.88.
The particulars of this claim are stated as
1. THe defendant is indebted to the claimant for parking charges issued to vehicle xxxx at sports direct east
2. The pcn details 20/01/2015, 28/03/2015, 20/10/2015
3. the pens was issued on private land owned or managed by xxx the vehicle was parked in breach of the terms on xxxx signs (the contract) thus incurring the pens.
4 the driver agreed to pay within 28 days but did no. xxxx is liable as the driver or keeper. despite requests, the pcns is outstanding. the contract entitles xxx to the damages and the claimant claims £465 being the total of the pens and damages, interest at a rate of 8% per annum pursuant to s69 of the county courts act 1984 from the date hereof at a daily rate of £0.10 until judgement or sooner payment.
So basically I need help in order to know how to fight this as I don't really fancy paying these ridiculous fines from such a long time ago.
Could anyone help in giving me advice in what to do with this situation please?
