  • County court business centre

    Hi,

    Today I received a letter from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton regarding 3 parking fines dated all the way back to 2015 from a company named high view parking limited who I presume have sold the debt to dab legal ltd. I have no idea why these people are chasing me after all this time but they are trying to get £674.88 then court fees of £60 and legal representatives cost £70 for a total of £804.88.

    The particulars of this claim are stated as
    1. THe defendant is indebted to the claimant for parking charges issued to vehicle xxxx at sports direct east
    2. The pcn details 20/01/2015, 28/03/2015, 20/10/2015
    3. the pens was issued on private land owned or managed by xxx the vehicle was parked in breach of the terms on xxxx signs (the contract) thus incurring the pens.
    4 the driver agreed to pay within 28 days but did no. xxxx is liable as the driver or keeper. despite requests, the pcns is outstanding. the contract entitles xxx to the damages and the claimant claims £465 being the total of the pens and damages, interest at a rate of 8% per annum pursuant to s69 of the county courts act 1984 from the date hereof at a daily rate of £0.10 until judgement or sooner payment.

    So basically I need help in order to know how to fight this as I don't really fancy paying these ridiculous fines from such a long time ago.

    Could anyone help in giving me advice in what to do with this situation please?

    Acknowledge the claim using the details and password on the form. Nothing in the defence

      I've acknowledged the claim on the website using the details on the form so I should have until the 28th of this month if im correct. Sorry if I sound like an idiot. What do you mean by SAR? Is that the Subject access request letter in the shortcuts? As for the cpr31.14 request im not exactly sure who the solicitors are. im going to attach a copy of the letter and if possible could you direct me to who I am going to send the request to. I think it's fair bet that DCB legal is a solicitor

        SAR = Subject Access Request

        You have 33 days from date of issue to get your defence to the court

          ok nice one. so in this instance do you think I should send a letter or try to obtain an email address fill out the forms and then just attach them to an email once I complete the relevant info?

          sorry if im coming across silly I just don't want to get anything wrong.

          Also at what point do I send my defence to the court? is it after obtaining all the information from the solicitors?

                        SAR they have 30 days to respond

                        CPR Should be responded to within 7 days. If no response the you mention this in your defence and are thus unable to prepare a reasonable defence

                          ok thanks. I actually got a response from them today and here's what they sent me. its not very useful to be honest and doesn't seem like it can help me in any way.
