My husband is not working and I am the only one who works and supports the family. He has a debt and he agreed a payment plan of £20 a month over 5 yrs ago. Since he stopped working, I have been making the monthly payments. The payment is made to BW legal and they sent a request today for him to complete a new income and expenditure form. The form will show that I can pay more but I am not willing to do that because I have other commitments and I am the only one who works so I need to put money aside for emergencies. What should I do? Can I tell them that since my husband is not working, that the previous offer is all I am willing to pay towards the debt until he starts working and can start repaying the debt himself.

If the debts are solely in his name then your income has nothing to do with it.
He should only give them information of his income and expenditure, then make an offer of £0.00 per month until he’s able to work.
