Exact same letter that my parents received for £334, which out of fear they have paid. They're pensioners and terrified of this company to the point its affecting their health and well being. They received further letters today requesting they sign up to LOA's for claims that Bank Smart have "awaiting authorisation". Naturally my parents don't want to do that but I'm unclear as to whether simply ignoring these LOA's will get Bank Smart off their backs. Looking at the 2010 T&C's they state that standard fees are only applicable once the claim process has started with the 3rd party but I can't seem to find this clause in the latest T&C's on their site. Parents started this sorry journey with BS in 2012. Can anyone advise? Thanks in advance...

I received a letter from bank smart with a letter of authority to investigate further claims........ after a worrying weekend and totally a wreck i started to sift through emails and found an email from them . they have all my data and if I wanted to cancel ..... I need to contact the cancellation department and of course there is a charge to do this.............. I am completely out of my mind with worry.

Hi Guys. I’ve recently just fell into their trap too. Has anyone got any final resolutions, and how exactly do we fully remove ourselves from their records? Thanks

                          Hi Guys

I’ve read their T&Cs and noticed the following term 21
                          Governing Law and Jurisdiction
                          21) This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the law of England and Wales. The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter.

As I'm a resident of Northern Ireland does this mean I can’t be held to the contract and T&Cs? I know it’s a really long shot but I’ll take anything to get out of it at this stage. If any of you more legally minded people can clear this up for me I’d really appreciate it. They haven’t sent me a bill as yet but I’ve only been with them 6 months but I know itll
                          come sooner or later.

                          Thanks Again everyone
