Good morning,
I received an email around a week ago stating that a PPI complaint had been made in my name, after checking the documents attached I found that somehow the details used were somewhat true. They had my real name, a real yet my old email address and an address I lived at 15 years ago, it was also signed in a signature which was not my own. So naturally I've been trying to contact allay to cancel this complaint and to see how they've managed to get some of my details. After 10 emails they've finally got back to me stating that basically there going to go ahead with the claim regardless because as far as they're concerned the claim was made genuinely and that if the claim is successful they are going to charge me their admin fees etc.
Basically what I want to know is what I do from here? Do I go to the police as far as I'm concerned this is fraud?
Thanks
