I am helping a friend who owns a small business (sole trader) and would appreciate some advice please.
She entered into a 12-month contract with a well-known online directory for advertising services paid via direct debit.
The supplier misrepresented the service during the sales process and failed to fulfil the services as promised. They have refused to cancel the contract and told my friend that if she cancels the Direct Debit, they will place a black mark against her credit score leaving her unable to obtain credit.
What is her best course of action?
