  • McDonald’s MET charge notice

Hi, I have just received a letter from MET, for overstaying the car park by 11 minutes. How can I fight this?? I have called the manager there, who told they can’t do anything! Can anyone help?

      Hi

      Apologies for missing your post.

Could you post up a redacted picture of the postal PCN, front & rear, but leave all times & dates visible?
      Plus pics of site signage.

Have you contacted the parking co or any of their agents, or made any appeals?
      Have you ID'd the driver?

              At first blush
Their Code of Practice (as members of BPA) requires them to allow a min grace period of 10 mins on entry (to find parking space, read signs etc), plus a similar 10 mins to exit at the end of the parking period.
Any chance of a pic of the site sign?

Btw, respond as registered keeper.....do not ID the driver

The notice fails to comply with the requirements of POFA, no invitation to keeper 9 (2) (e), creditor not identified 9 (2) (h) and no period of parking 9 (2) (a). Moving in front af a camera is not, by definition, parking. They cannot therefore transfer liability from the unknown driver to the keeper.

Add on the grace period complaint as well

you should find plenty of examples of appeals in the forum. Suggest post here for critique before sending

If online take a screenprint of every screen. Beware the default dropdown of driver.

Any chance of sending me a template or something? I’m not very good with wording letters.

Tbh, I try to avoid templates.
