Four women racing drivers have entered at least one Grand Prix, and another tried to start but failed to qualify. None ever won.

if this is classed as advertising remove it, but i use comparethemarket.com, last year went with post office insurance and had a premium of £290, this year it came up with admiral insurance at £184. it was a clear £100 cheaper than anyone else, and includes all the usual extras/necessaties

Go to one of the broker sites, ie, moneysupermarket.com because they source whole of market and get it cheaper.

The thing I find frustrating with women drivers is their lack of communication at junctions. Like when you want to give way to them but they are looking in the other direction despite your gestures and flashing. Hello ???

This is way tooo generalising this thread and it is all relative.

I have never had a serious accident in my entire driving record but my husband has, outside our drive 3 times! Plus numerous other "plonkish" accidents he has had in the past! And he is generally a good driver!

A male neighbour has reversed out of his drive and went crashing into hubby's car! The car was only a week old and did I take the ****?! You bet I did!

Another time, my car was stationary on the road and some plonker, a BT engineer, went smack into it causing a lot of damage - his answer, the sun was shining too bright! Right oh right! So of course the verbal came out for sure!

Three of my men pals from way back have died from serious accidents, they were either ****ed, cocky or just bloody plain stupid on the road!

So just cut back on the sexist crap guys!

This was the finding of the study

The results presented show that the driver population is distinctly bimodal in certain physical and behavioural attributes. As the proportion of female drivers continues to grow there is an ever decreasing rationale for discriminating in favour of men in the design of vehicle structural and restraint systems.
Women have more collisions at the beginning and end of the working day, Monday to Friday and less across the weekend than men do. They are involved more frequently in collisions at junctions and have slightly more rear end collisions whereas men have a higher proportion of frontal crashes. Women also have proportionally more collisions during the months of October, November and February, a time associated with changes in lighting conditions across the peak hour. These circumstantial results are difficult to interpret as they are influenced by behavioural and sociological issues which in turn affect gender exposure. The effects of exposure at this level of detail are difficult to determine with the available data and further research in this area is required before many conclusions can be made.
It is clear that women tend to drive smaller and lighter cars than men, a situation that is intrinsically disadvantageous and reflected in the higher proportion of female drivers injured compared with men. Thomas (1999) concludes that the mass of a car is a key factor that determines injury outcome. Further research should be conducted to understand the underlying reasons behind this trend and to look for ways to address issues of compatibility at the vehicle design stage.
The increased vulnerability of women towards injury is considered further and in terms of location of injury using the CCIS data by Welsh (AAAM 2001) and Lenard (IRCOBI 2001) where it was shown that female front occupants appear to be more vulnerable to injury in frontal impacts, especially with regard to soft tissue neck injury, the skeletal chest and possibly leg injuries.
